Description
Your starting your very first cult! You're not very good it at, but maybe slapping these converts while yelling scripture will work.

Requires TTT2 in order to use this role. A list of all currently available roles can be found HERE.

Source Code: TBD

The Cult Leader is a solo role that must either convert everyone, or only have him and his cultists remaining to win. They are all on team Cultist.

The Cult Leader gets a Cult Tome to beat others into following them with Left Click (With a cooldown between beatings). They also preach when attempting to convert giving them away somewhat if another person is nearby. In a real pickle they can whip their Cult Tome with right click to damage an enemy while they flee.

As a treat beating a cultist whom you've already converted calls on your cult god to heal them (Also using your cooldown to do so).

Normal Convars Generated by TTT2
# enable or disable this role ttt_cultleader_enabled [0/1] (default: 1) # the percentage of players that are spawned as this role ttt_cultleader_pct [0.0..1.0] (default 0.15) # the limit of players that spawn as this role each round, this overwrites the percentage ttt_cultleader_max [0.0..n] (default: 1) # the probability each round of this role being spawned at all ttt_cultleader_random [0..100] (default: 33) # the amount of players needed for this role to spawn ttt_cultleader_min_players: [0..n] (default: 6)

Alternatively use "cultist" instead of "cultleader" as necessary to adjust minion convars, but that shouldn't be necessary.

Additional Convars in ULX & F1 Menu
# adjust cultleader armor ttt2_cultleader_armor_value [0...100] (default: 30) # adjust tome healing amount (changes on round) ttt2_cultleader_healamount [0...100] (default: 50) # adjust tome primary attack reset time (changes on round) ttt2_cultleader_resettime [1...60] (default: 2) # adjust max alive cultists converted ttt2_cultleader_maxconversions [1...10] (default: 2) # adjust the cultist starting armor ttt2_cultist_armor_value [0...300] (default: 10)

The Idea for this role was given to me by "Pawel99UK".

The game now forces a rolecheck update on every conversion. I'm hoping that'll fix it as it seems to have fixed things on my end.

Have you found a solution for the problem we had that a converted cultist doesn't know he's on the Cultist-Team until someone of that Team kills a player?

oh interesting. I'll check #3 again. I did try it with other players as well as on bots, but I better see if its a networking issue maybe that there's a delay. I'm going to maybe add an event to the endgame event log too. That's a weird thing for #1 as well, I wonder if its due to the convar affecting the weapon and not the role.

For number 3: I don't know if you tested this alone with bots or with your friends...
Because for the cult-leader, the converted players are shown to him instantly, however for the player that has been converted and becomes a cultist, this is only shown to him visually after someone on the cultist-team kills a person...

Ok, after some more testing i have found something interesting for number 1. The cooldown is adjustable, but it seems like it only takes on the value after a map change...
At least for me

@Hannes. I can replicate the convar slider issue. I'll look into that. I'm unable to replicate your #3. The conversion happens instantly on the couple games I've tested. Are there's specific roles that are causing this maybe? I've texted with regular innocent, traitor, detective; and a few custom roles like jester and spy. All of them worked in 3 separate tests.

@Hannes I'm definitely going to look into those. #1 and 3 for sure. #2 I have an idea as to why. I might need to load the preaching lines right into gmod as they're pulled from half-life originally.

3.: I do not know if this is intended, but after hitting players with the tome, they do not instantly know, that they have become a cultist (if they were a Traitor, they can still see their mates and are able to shop!). Only after someone (it doesn't matter who) on the 'cultist-team' kills someone (they have to ACTIVELY kill someone, everyone, who has been touched by the cult-leaders tome will convert into a cultist and see their mates. If the cult-leader then hits another player with the tome, someone on the cultist-team has to kill a player again for that new person to also convert and see their mates!

Ok, i looove the concept of this role, BUT:
There are still a lot of bugs (maybe bc it has just recently been created):
1.: As i was just about to adjust the cooldown of the tome, the slider is able to be moved up and down, but the cooldown still stays at 10 seconds. (Btw.: It would be very much appreciated if you could add a little something on the side of the screen that displays the cooldown, like with the Sidekick-Deagle of the Jackal or the Holy Deagle of the Priest)
2.: The preaching sometimes just doesn't work. I tried lots of things to figure out why I'm not able to hear anything but a little grunt from the player I just hit, but it seems to be completely random...

@Mangost For sure its like Jakal, but you need to melee to convert. There's also a long cooldown (customizable) between converts. I thought it would be OP, but honestly after your first convert a lot of people catch on pretty quick to kill you XD
