How to to get the Wrathgiver
This is probably the 367th post explaining how to get the Wrathgiver, but I thought I might add my method to the pool, hoping it can help some people who tried other methods and failed so far.

For this method to work you need to be able to send death threats and have Discerning Eye unlocked, not actually a necessity but it will allow you to work with common captains too instead of just epic captains, since the combination of a death threat and Discerning Eye guarantees that common captains drop epic gear. This guide also assumes that you finished the story, you don't really need the Wrathgiver for the story anyways.

The best region for this is Seregost because of the death threat area there.

DON'T have any gear on you that has elemental effects (poison, fire, curse, frost) and nothing that can enrage and/or daze your target captain. These might influence the gear the captain drops. It's also best if the captain himself doesn't have any elemental weapons for the same reason.

Go into this with full Wrath.

After you sent a death threat to the captain in Seregost, go to fight him. STAY AWAY FROM THE GRUNTS. Make the captain follow you to an empty area where the grunts can't see you so they don't attack and distract you. Thanks to this being a death threat mission there won't be any other grunts nearby aside from the initial group of grunts that comes with the captain for the death threat mission.

Once you are far away enough from the grunts, headshot the captain's Caragor if he's riding one. Shadow Strike or Shadow Pull him to the ground and then activate Ringwraith. Use ground executions and/or fury swipe executions to lower his health far enough to finish him off with a sword execution, ideally all of this during Ringwraith. If you struggle doing this because of Ringwraith running out too quickly, there's a ring gear effect that extends the duration of Ringwraith by 33%.
The point of all this is to prevent the captain from having an introduction or a death speech, and to kill him using executions and Ringwraith.

In case what I described sounds confusing to you or doesn't work the way I described it, here are the comments I found and worked with for this method, all credits go to these people:

This ^^ comment has some details different from the method I described, but maybe they help you more than mine.
