All bonuses work when your HP is lower than 20% and you have no bile.

So, quick math
50%+19%+10%+15%+20%=114% Physical defence
We dont need 114%, 100% is enough
Without the grape your physical def. will be only
69.6%+10%+15%=94.6%, and you will take 5.4% of damage, which is still bad because we are on lowest HP and have no heals!
At max level of health (6 Pains) we have 250HP, and only 50HP on 20% in our build.
Using the grape and dove skull provides 99.6% defence. (In most situations, it counts as 100%, but to be sure, you better buy Ember to have greater defence (104,6%)

So, we have main setup:

Immune to physical attacks

but still 69% to any Elemental or Touching damage types!
so, let's fix it!

FIRE - Yellow and Orange attacks (yellow on hit)
6. Quirce's Scorched Bead
35% Fire defence

ELECTRICITY - White-Blue attacks (white on hit)
7. Amber Eye
35% Elec. defence

POISON - Green
8. Wicker Knot
35% Green defence

MAGIC - Violet, Purple, white-cyan (Blue on hit)
9. Consecrated Amethyst
35% Magic defence

69% + 35% = 104% (Grants immunity)

P.S. Lower elemental beads like muted bell, piece of golden mask, Perpetva's protection and moss in glass give you 25% Def.
69% + 25% = 94%
so, dont use it... oh, and Seashell too - 10% to any Elemental
69% + 10% = 79% (Forget it)

Thats all of 4 Elementals, but what is Touching damage?
It's a different type of damage (not physical damage) when you touch an enemy without their attack state

1) There is no electro damage; thunders are Physical
2) Giant Purple magic blasts are physical too, but purple arrows still do magic damage, so we still need Amethyst.

We can use our Low HP and Out of Bile status to boost our damage (greatly)

1. Crimson Heart of Miura (or just BERSERK)
Gives you a ~50% bonus to attack speed, what is best, because we more often do the 4th swing in combo, which is does x4 damage

(paid combos: if hold button [down] on the 4th swing - two swings and pause, and if you hold [up] button - two swings in jump animation, that means x8 damage in both combos, highly recommended)

2. Token of Appreciation
Gives ~15% damage bonus. Not too much, but helpful to kill flying bell dudes. Or boss rush mode (only in combination with Berserk)

-Type of damage you can not resist:
1) Spikes
Go play Blasphemous II
2) Infant does infant type of damage (but you can avoid it by Tiento or just walking)
Try pitbull
3) In the last last battle with Escribar (Ending C) beads and prayers just don't work, and battle is fixed
You can use the bile

-I wear all beads, drain flasks and cut myself almost to zero, but still taking dameg!!1
-Check your Mea Culpa Heart, maybe you wear one that reduces your defence.

-Still taking damage, nothing helps.
-That is your penitence.

-Works in Boss Rush?
-Yes, just choose your character, set up heart and beads, dry your bile, and cut yourself (you can't die from it) - Full guide down below.

-Works with Penitence modes?
-Only with two of them - True Guilt and Unwavering Faith

-How can I easy beat the last one, Penitence of a Bleeding Heart?
-Complete two other penances, and it gives you two rosary beads that grants almost infinite Mana. And use the prayer "Tiento to your Thorned Hairs", and you can be invulnerable for minutes.

-It's not working on PS4!
-Yes, buffs from olive and lamp strangely dissapear when you leave the screen and boss area. To get it again, you must take damage from an enemy, not just cut yourself. You can use Saeta Dolorosa to refill your HP for the next hit.
