Are you lonely? No? Well, I'm the one talking, so you're basically forced to hear what I have to say.
If so, have you considered letting the Erchius Ghost follow you literally everywhere, regardless of the amount of Erchius in your possession?

WELL! I HAVE JUST THE MOD FOR YOU!

It's also client-side.

THE GHOST STAYS EVEN IF YOU UNINSTALL THE MOD. USE A THROWAWAY CHARACTER FOR THIS.

Ohhhh, and that effect would be part of vanilla Starbound. I understand now.

it sets a persistent effect group on the player and I didn't add a way to remove it

If you uninstall this mod after the ghost starts following you and you have the mod that makes it killable, will you be safe after killing it with the mod uninstalled?
