To answer your question, i think it looks better with the current red part colourable, but i am absolutely ok with either :)
I already planned on that, but I'm currently not working on trams, so no promises when I'll get to that. Never the less, would you prefer the colormap to be on the red part of the livery or should I change the red part to white and make the currently white stripe colorable?

The original tram never run in a single car, and only seldom in a two-car constellation, so if I get back to working on trams, I'd only do the engine + trailer constellation. Unfortunately my tram assets aren't that popular, so they only have a low priority on my to-do list.
