Hello Folks,

today's asset is the first of my "generic"-series, where I release mostly line-colored vehicles without any city-specific features, details or labels.
Lead-off for this series is this CKD Tatra K2, the first serial produced articulated tram from CKD Tatra. Between 1966 to 1983, 569 of these vehicles were produced.

One noteworthy detail about my model is that, in contrast to the original, nearly all side-windows are of the same size. The original for some reason has different sized windows on the door-less side.
This tram is also the first to feature standard-gauge boogies, not the 1000mm ones I use for my other Tatra trams.

Make sure to give me feedback, report bugs you encounter or just type out your general thoughts on this tram, so I can use that feedback to improve the upcoming Tatra trams!

In-game:

This vehicle consists of three separate units, two passenger compartments (K2-A/K2-C) and a boogie/connector (K2-B) in between them.

The standard Tatra K2 trams never had doors on their left side, so you can't use this tram for lines where there is tram stops on the left hand side.
I suggest looking into my "Tatra K5AR" if you want a similar tram with doors on both sides.

The trams max speed is just like the original, 60km/h (12 in-game).
The destination indicator on the front simply has my Logo on it, because a bit of watermark never hurt nobody.
All of the plating below the windows is color-mapped.
Indicator, head- and taillights are working.
If all your track turns have a bigger radius than 20 meters, this tram should corner them smoothly.

I strongly advise using the Loading Screen Mod to cut down on file size, as all three parts of the vehicle share the same textures.
If you want a prop version of the vehicle I advise you to use the Tree and Vehicle Props Mod and its Patch.
I don't want to waste too much time on creating prop versions of each vehicle, so using this mod is the better option for now.

I already used textures I deem high quality enough for my works, so no, there won't be any even bigger textures, especially because it would up the file size even more. One thing I might change in the future though is to add fake interior to the windows, once I get some good textures I can use for that.

Thank you for this tram model. Do you plan to use high quality textures for this model?

@596195509 I believe kowkamurka's model is fine as far as proportions and detail goes. The textures could be in higher resolution, I believe.

in addition, T4D in ivory with a blue stripe is also whery close to me because there were a bunch of second hand Tatras from Leipzig in Russian cities of Voronezh and Lipeck. The last fact is particulary interesting, as "Leipzig" ("Lipsk" in Sorbian) and "Lipeck" names are derivated from the same Slavic word "lipa", wich means "linden".

@MeisterMonis yep, the ivory with a blue stripe (or recolorable stripe). I'm not sure, but think K2s were painted in these or alike livery on Sarajevo before they changed it to yellow and blue, but I'm not sure. Just think it would belooking cool.

Yes, I know that I can use color line, but you see, I'm into making public transit schemes for my city via CSL Mapview mod so I usually use different colors for different lines. But I'm understand that you may not be interested in fised livery stuff, it is just a suggestion.

Anyways, K5 looks more important as many players still use vanilla avenues with island stops. Besides it is a cool and rare model wich is completely exctinct in real world.

Glad to see you enjoying my Tatras :)
I can probably do a K2 with Leipzig-Livery, shouldn't be too difficult.
Were talking about the one with the big blue trapezoid on the front, right?

You can get the ivory-coloring by just making the line color full white, the red just takes a bit of fiddling around.
Apart from that I'm not sure if I want to release standard red versions of every Tatra I make, as it's sort of redundant, if you can get the red version just by using the line color.
Next release is gonna be the Tatra K5AR, that much I can say.

@MeisterMonis thank you. Anyways, I also would like to see Tatra K2 in standard red or ivory (like on your first screenshot, or Tatra T4 in Leipzig in early 90s) livery to use it in my current city. I used to run Duewag GT6 cars there but Tatras fit it much more and your models are look quite awsome.

Maybe if you're going to make a standard red version, you could make the line signs line colored.
You can look on my T3 repaints for inspiration, if anything

@kowkamurka,I think you can renovate your Tatra T3 assets, the connection of the tatra T3 of MeisterMonis seems fascinated than your .

@596195509 @kowkamurka
Yeah I wanted to suggest that as well, no need for me to create a T3 if there is enough on the workshop

Thanks for the kind words!
