The one use for the ring worm is to just get it eaten by the people around the campfire, then the next time you go to a fire, no one is there and you can just beef up your cards. Of course you can be unlucky and just beef up the ring worm and not have it eaten. But hey, now you have a strong ring worm. And you can do this with any touch of death card as well such as Adder and Long Elk.

Also...

You can also use it for the ring trail at the end of act 1 but if you know how to get the ring you won't need the worm.

Also fun fact, ring worms are not real. And the spots you get on your skin called a ring worm infection is actually a fungi infection. Ring worms are 100% made up.

You can also feed the adder to them and they will also be poisoned

ring worm saved me in my last run of kaycee's mod. all i needed was 2 damage, and thankfully my child 13 was on the board. unfortunately, it was asleep. all i had in my hand was: bee with rabbit hole, rabbit, squirrel, and an un-upgraded ring worm (i had started with bifurcation deck, and the first one had been eaten already) I sacrificed child 13 for ringworm and woke up 13, allowing me to win.

Remember, ringworm can be used to awaken/deactivate child 13 as well.

If I remember correctly, the Ring Worm also allows you to win the trial near the end of Act 1 where if you have a ring you pass.

It's worth noting that it's Kaycee's Mod that allows all touch of death cards to kill the campers. Regular Act 1 only allows adder, long elk, and ring worm!

I found this out by accident once in a Kacee's mod mantis deck run. I just wanted to get rid of one of the worms, so I overpowered it at a camp fire and got it eaten. No villagers appeared at the next camp fire or any after in that run. I didn't know there were other creatures that had the same effect though.
