Custom Torpedoes V

Description
Build or modify torpedoes according to your wishes. With live preview and much more.

Requirements
  • Game version 2.0+
  • no problem with cheating

How to use this thing
We work our way from left to right.
In the left pane, new torpedoes can be created.
  • Either completely new using the choices or using a turret from your inventory as a template.
  • or with the help of an already saved turret in the area below.
  • at the bottom left is an overview of the torpedo bays of your ship and their fill level

The next step is located in the right area:
Here we can edit the created torpedo in detail and change all possible properties.

Further down there are useful functions to selectively remove unwanted torpedoes from your stock, better than is normally possible in the game.

On the right side of the window you can see a LIVE TOOLTIP, as it would be seen in the inventory.

As an administrator on the server, you can also make server-wide settings for all players using the gear in the upper left corner.

Finally, select the desired number of new torpedoes and click either BUILD TORPEDOS (free if unlocked) or BUY TORPEDOS to pay the displayed price and build.

That's it! Have fun experimenting with the many possibilities.

This mod can be configured to work only for all configured server admins or also for normal players. (You are the admin in a local game)

.I recommend using the poedit[poedit.net] tool to enter the translated strings, but you can also use any text editor. Just enter the translated string in the line with msgstr and leave msgid untouched! After that, you can send me the finished file to my discord[discord.gg].

known issues
.If the icon in the upper right corner doesn't appear, type this command in your chat (admins only):
/ctorp add

Saved weapons from Custom Torpedo Builder IV are not compatible!
Data from CTB IV or older will not be listed, sorry.

Yeah, I've just been using this mod when at an equipment dock, and using the other one when 'underway' for restocking, so it at least feels a little more balanced.

You can install the torpedo production mod to, once you create a torpedo, produce it using the resources you've collected. That's what I do, it works pretty well.

The mod is designed to be a little bit cheaty. You can pay credits for the torpedoes and I do not plan to implement a delay for the production.

Hello! I love that you have support for Hydra torpedoes

Between the resource cost and time delay to produce utilizing assembly blocks on the ship...would it be possible to implement an option similar to that? Feels a little cheap being able to just build them all for free and instantly...

And I also am not having that problem with credits anymore. I don't know why that was happening but it seems to be fixed?

Hi, apologies - Since I made that comment, I figured out a workaround. Using the torpedo production mod you can make custom torpedoes with your mod, then build them with the the other mod.

I cannot reproduce the problem you describe. I just created an alliance, deposited credits and resources, and then built an alliance ship.
On this ship I could then buy torpedoes without any problems, which were correctly paid for with alliance credits.
