Ditto as Electrode

Straight from the Pokémon Center warehouse, Ditto as Electrode rolls into battle!



Back in 2017 The Pokémon Company released a line of plushies of which the main selling point was that all of them had a Ditto face. Out of the Pokémon that were chosen, Electrode was quite popular, becoming somewhat of a meme thanks to a Twitter account. Ditto as Electrode is based on that plush and the fact that sometimes when certain Ditto transform they can't seem to get the source Pokémon's face right, so instead use their own face.

This was my first attempt at making a full character, and it was originally made for the Rivals Extended Workshop November Pokéjam of 2021. This is the post jam release, so there are several QoL improvements!





Neutral Special - Spawn Voltorb

Send out a Ditto Voltorb that travels for a bit. Explodes on impact.

Forward Special - Rollout

Roll around the stage! Keep pressing SPECIAL to build speed. Launches opponents behind you.

Down Special - Explosion

Charge up and explode, sending opponents straight up

Up Special - Magnet Rise

Use electromagnetism to levitate into the air. Doesn't deal damage...



- Sonic Boom (Jab) shoots low damage projectiles with low knockback

- BAir launches opponents in the opposite direction of the move

- Charge Beam (FStrong) has a tipper stun at the base of the beam

- Shockwave (DStrong) spikes on ledges

- Explosion can't be canceled, but you don't take damage from using it

- Magnet Rise can't be canceled either, but has a sweetspot in the center on startup

- If timed right Rollout can combo into a reversed Dash Attack

- Rollout cannot be used while in the air
