Description
"But I have a way with words. My tongue is quite skilled, or so I hear. Some might even say 'cunning'."
- Anna

Adds Dragonland under Culture and Arts Minister Emera from the (Scalie? Furry?) visual novel Angels With Scaly Wings

Dragonland overview[civilization-v-customisation.fandom.com]

Unique Ability: Angels With Scaly Wings
Cannot generate great people from great person points. Instead, they have access to a roster of unique and powerful Great Dragons available only to the Dragons and are gained through the tech tree.

Unique Building 1: Production Facility
Replaces the factory. Along with the usual factory modifiers, provides +2 happiness and +2 science for every resource worked by the city. Does not require coal.

Unique Building 2: Dragon Hatchery
Replaces the hospital. Provides +2 happiness and +2 food. +1 food for every 4 citizens. Available earlier at civil service and is 20% cheaper to build.

Compatible mods:
  • Unique Cultural Influence
  • Civ IV Leader Traits
  • More Luxuries (For the Production Facility)

I actually quite like the idea of Fleet as a war theme.

I would have used 'Countess' as the peace theme because that's the song that plays when you actually talk to her, and maybe 'Threat' or 'Fleet' as the war theme because they sound more intimidating.
But other than that, great work.

A somewhat experimental fix, but the Great Dragons are now no longer Great People, technically. They are classified as regular units. Don't worry though, they function exactly the same. But this *should in theory* have fixed that bug where other civs can get them.

Also minor typo of two Cs in City, in the description of Katsuharu

Here is my screenshot of the free Great Person screen, where the Great Dragons can be selected by an non-Dragonland Civ.

Heya I have a possible issue to report. Even though the other civs can't get the Dragons normally, they CAN choose any of the Great Dragons as a free great person for finishing the Liberty policy tree. I'm assuming that's not intended?

No worries. And yes you can buy normal great people with faith starting in the industrial era. I’d like to think of it as a bit of quality of life thing in case you run out of great dragons you need for victory.

(But in reality it’s because the Great Dragons are technically their own unit type. They don’t replace the normal great people for technical reasons. I’m probably gonna buff the one and done GDs like Katsuharu because of their nature.)

Note I play with the "No Quiters" ballence and overhaul mod. So sorry if some of the things I mentioned aren't in the normal game. 😅

True true, just feels much less worth it to build the guilds than anything else with your production. Be better off chasing Wonders, even when you know they are contested, for Tourism. Or as you probably know, build science up to subversively get the Culture Great People.

Also curious if completing the Social Policy trees, lets you buy the orginal Great people with faith in the industral era, Or the unique great Dragons? I only know from finishing Liberty that it let me choose any of the orginal great people like normal, but also any of the great Dragons. Including the ones FAR in the tech tree that only appear once.

The points are indeed sent into the void and wasted. I feel like specialists generating science would be too similar to Korea’s ability.

The only building I’d say would be a complete waste would be the garden, along with certain social policies that increase the rate of GP generation. Guilds provide cultural specialists which are great sources of culture. They are definitely lower priority when playing as this civ but I wouldn’t say a waste.
