HMS Belfast

Description
HMS Belfast

Her Majesty's Ship Belfast is a Town Class light cruiser of the Edinburgh sub variant, built just before the start of World War II. She is armed with 12, 6 inch guns in 4 turrets, along with 8, 4 inch secondary guns in 4 turrets, 2 on each side of the ship.

During World War II, she saw duty as an escort for the arctic convoys, took part in the battle of the North Cape and the sinking of the German Battleship Scharnhorst, as well as providing fire support for the D-Day landings. Later on in life she would take part in the Korean war and underwent an extensive modernization from 1956-59.

She was finally put into reserve in 1963 and preserved as a Museum ship in 1971. She is the largest remaining ship from WWII left in the United Kingdom, and currently sits moored on the River Thames in Central London, right in front of the tower bridge.

Yes! Next up will either be a cruise ship or age of sail frigate.
