Description
Short Description
A single-player scenario (around 20 minutes, give or take) where you play as a NATO marksman tasked to infiltrate an enemy outpost and find the intel within it.
No add-ons or DLCs are required to play this scenario. Just subscribe to it and play.

Mission Overview
The NATO forces are getting ready for a major attack on the CSAT forces, however, they are missing some crucial information regarding their enemies. You, together with Captain Campbell, have been tasked to infiltrate the enemy outpost in which they keep the intel and to return it back to base.

Features
  • Different loadouts at the beginning of the scenario depending on which DLCs (Marksman, Apex or neither) the player owns;
  • An Adaptive Speed feature which limits the speed of the group's leader to match the speed of the player;
  • Multiple tasks allow for different approaches to be completed;
  • Two hidden tasks;
  • Custom sounds;
  • Custom music;
  • Other.

Decided to try this mission out for fun after almost a year lol.

Seems there's a bug though: Campbell will ask you to engage a CSAT guy who is supposed to go away from the outpost but he just stands there.

Restarted the mission and seems you need to race Campbell to the rock (you are supposed to snipe from/where he spots targets for you) and get there before he arrives so that it triggers the CSAT guy to move away as intended. Weird bug. But able to complete the mission just fine after. :jake::steamthumbsup:

Now that you guys say it, it kinda makes sense lol. I might change some stuff in a future update.

I think it might've made more sense if the two were FIA instead (with a shot up truck instead of blown up lol), and the ambushers were perhaps CSAT specops. Unless of course Starman meant for CSAT and FIA to be allied which would be a bit odd. Otherwise, it's a fun mission. :aquaman:

No, no, you got me wrong. xD I understand why all that happened, of course. I just mean that it seemed a little odd. Not bad, just felt a little weird. Especially the ambushed truck with those two poor fellas lmao. I guess if they had a more undercover or civilian look, it would seem more plausible. I guess it also would be more streamlined if we fought just one faction, or at least have some background on why those rebels appeared out of thin air. Again, don't misread this, it's just a super tiny nitpick - maybe it helps you!

@FriendlyCanadian - It's single-player. I couldn't get rid of the multi-player tag for some reason, so I just left it. The other unit is AI.

The first screenshot has two units in it and the scenario gameplay tag says singleplayer, multiplayer but in your description you say only singleplayer. Which is it?

@Toaste - Yeah, the first guy sometimes gets stuck in the animation if you shoot him at a certain time. I've put some Event Handlers there to try to prevent that as much as I can, but yeah...

@onestar - Well, the truck was supposed to be the exfil truck you were supposed to "stealthly" leave with and the two dead NATO soldiers were the ones who had to drive you away. However, they were discovered and attacked/killed by the same rebels that ambush you. So, after killing the exfil truck crew, they waited for you and your Captain and ambushed you. While being ambushed, you call in for a helicopter which is sent to you with 5 guys who were supposed to help you out with the ambush, but you fight it off yourself (which is why the helicopter lands so close, I guess). That kind of summarizes what happens in case you missed some dialogue... or it's just not that obvious I guess, idk lol.

Fun mission and lots of work put into it, I liked it, but I found some of the things odd, like the ambush (and the almost funny two dead guys and some random exploded truck), being ambushed by rebels (not people from the outpost) or how you evac with a helicopter so close to the enemy AO. But that's just my taste.

Loved this! Did find that sometimes if I shot the head of the first guy, it would bounce off. But thats just Arma for you. Also, the first guy is stuck in animation even after you kill him. So he keeps standing after taking a bullet to the face.
