--Description--

The Ignis Class miner has been in use for several years, never quite finished, and with each and every build differing slightly from the last depending on the situation. This latest version is an attempt to standardise the build, with all the internal systems being finalised for ease of use.

The ship is a simple ion miner, designed for ease of use and construction rather than actual efficiency. Any early game faction able to make ion thrusters can throw one of these together in a couple of minutes with a blueprint, making them a reliable early game miner to get an operation up and running.

The lower docking connector and compact form make the Ignis ideal for operations from cramped hangers and tiny landing pads, while the use of a single battery rather than reactors ensure that the only resource required to run it is electricity.
