Description
EVEN THOUGH THE OTHER MODS EL BERL RELEASED REQUIRE THE OLD UAS, THIS VERSION IS INTERCHANGEABLE WITH IT. IGNORE THE DEPENDENCY MESSAGE WHEN YOU LOAD THIS MOD WITH THEM.

11/25/21: El Berl left for an unspecified amount of time back in late April. I have worked with El Berl before and have helped him release some stuff when he was busy juggling all of his mods. I do not believe he would mind if I upload this for the community while he is absent. New DLC's being launched and bugs being reported in the Discord server require an update. If El Berl comes back this upload of Universal Ammo System will be deleted and El Berl will take the mod back over. I am merely a stand in and do not take credit for Universal Ammo System. Ninety-nine percent of this mod is the combined work of El Berl and the other folks listed below. I merely take credit for the tweaks and bug fixes listed in the changelog of each update henceforth. The rest is all their work.


The spiritual successor to Joint Ammo & Magazines, Universal Ammo System introduces a cross-compatible ammo suite that works with countless weapon mods. No longer will you have to contend with each weapon mod having different stats for the same cartridges. Furthermore, UAS also has special values for ensuring maximum compatibility with Advanced Armor Plate Mod, along with countless other features. Infantry Armaments:
UAS contains numerous real-world types of ammunition for virtually all cartridges available in the myriad weapon mods out there. Dozens of types of 5.56x45mm, 7.62x39mm, 7.62x51mm, 7.62x54mm, .50 BMG, 12.7x108mm, and more are at your disposal. Armor piercing, FMJ, frangible, subsonic, you name it.

UAS also contains myriad rocket launcher warheads and grenades for your 40mm or 35mm launcher. Ever want to fire some mustard gas from your RPG-7? What about some tear gas out of your underbarrel grenade launcher? Heck, what about the latest FIM-92 rockets with a range of over 7,000 meters? All of that is available in UAS. There are even rifle grenades and stationary explosives.

Vehicle Munitions:
The mod includes various pylon system-compatible vehicle munitions, from ODAB-100 thermobaric bombs to S-5, S-8, S-13, and even S-24 and S-25 rockets for your Mi-24. Compatibility with the many vehicle mods out there is improving with each update, so everyone can leverage the benefits from Universal Ammo System. Many of these rockets and bombs are quite powerful, with select examples being the ZAB-1500 3300lb White Phosphorus bomb, available for planes like the CUP Su-25, and the S-24, a fragmentation rocket with a lethal radius of over 300 meters - accessible to anything as small as an Mi-24 Hind.

UAS also has vehicle-ready belts of small and medium-caliber ammunition ready to go. To access these, use a vehicle magazine manager like ZEN.

Chemical Warfare:
Universal Ammo System includes various chemical agents and weapons, from 40mm grenades to massive KHAB-1000 chemical bombs and even aerosol sprayers like the American TMU-28B. Furthermore, even some chemical small arms ammo is available. You can use 7.62x51mm N461 Tear Gas, or even 14.5x114mm BZKh Phosgene. Some simulated agents thus far are Phosgene, Mustard Gas, Sarin, Soman, Cyclosarin, VX, and VG, with more to come.

UAS agents are notably both persistent and invisible as they are in reality. You'll need to be especially careful with where you deploy these.

Tank Warfare:
Universal Ammo System includes a wide variety of tank shells, including but not limited to 105mm Smoothbore, 120mm Smoothbore, 120mm Rifled, and 125mm Smoothbore. This includes a wide variety of shells from the basic M829 and 3BM42 to the exotic M829A4 and 3BM69 Vacuum-1, as well as guided shells like Sokol-1, LAHAT, and even MRM 120mm types.

Nuclear Warfare:
Various nuclear bombs and missiles from B-61s to B-83s and even nuclear Maverick / S-25 missiles are now available. There's even a Tsar Bomba for the RHS Tu-95.

Biological Warfare:
A limited selection of biological warfare items are now available, such as 12-gauge Anthrax-loaded slugs, 66mm rockets for the M202 FLASH (CJTF), and even 20x102mm / 20x110mm VX-agent rounds for various high-caliber weapons.

Electromagnetic Warfare:
UAS now includes a robust set of electromagnetic pulse munitions, from 40mm grenades to 84mm Carl Gustav warheads, FIM-92 Stinger missiles, Javelin missiles, and even Mk82 through Mk84 sized EMP aerial bombs. These are very potent against all sorts of targets, from lampposts to aircraft.

Download and load Zues Enhanced and place down a zues module in the mission you want to play

load the mission

get into zues

go double click(or right click and click on attributes or the equivalent) on the vehicle you want to change the ammo type in

click on loadout on the screen that pops up for the vehicle or static weapon

at t he top select the seat (gunner, left gunner, etc) you want the change the ammo type for

Select the ammo you want to add in.

Unfortunately I had to remove the mod, it just kept coming up in the error rpts as an issue. Game runs smoother now.

Yeah, go use Isky's if you want current support for UAS. He uses code from my ACE-compat for UAS. It should be highly accurate. I did a lot of research on the ballistics for the ammo types and I believe he has gone even further with the research.

I forgot that he uploaded it.

Ok. FWIW and for the benefit of other people looking for mods, there is some good UAS stuff in the older versions for use with new ACE, like Isky's Universal Ammo System Reimagined V1.1.0 upload. Not all his stuff is ACE-compatible, but some is, and you don't need AAPM and old versions of ACE.

If the issue still persists go into C:\Users\YourNAME\AppData\Local\Arma 3 and click on the file that has the days date on it that looks something like this "Arma3_x64_2023xyz.rpt". Open the file with notepad or notepad++ and go to the bottom and look for where it says error or fatal error and the mod or string attached to the error.

What is your mod list? If you have a shitload of mods loaded or if you load multiple UAS versions at the same time the game will crash. UAS's config is big with a lot of lines of code.

It just takes 3-5 minutes for Zues or Eden to load up. You have to be patient. Unless the game is actually closing to the Arma 3 launcher and giving you an error in a window you just have to wait. Sometimes Windows 10 or 11 will think the game is froze and it will pop-up with "this application is not responding" and you can either click wait or close the game in which case the game is just taking awhile to load. If you want a shorter loading time with less magazines you can try UAS:Lite(Updated).

I know this mod is no longer worked upon, but is there a solution to stop ArmA 3 crashing when using this mod? It freezes when then the "loading UAS" message appears in the bottom-left corner, when loading up a map into Eden, or firing up Zeus. 1 time out of 10 tries it will load ok, but takes a long time, 9 out of 10 it just crashes.

@Reticuli No. Old ace is just like that. If you "unload" into an AI or players legs in vanilla arma 3 they will die as well. You are missing the point. I am done. If you don't wanna use Cobalt ACE or AAPM or UAS then don't use it. I stated what Cobalt ACE is for and why UAS and AAPM are broken or obsolete. Hence why I made UAS dead.

I don't aim for peoples legs. Most players aim for chest or head. Apparently you mistake this game for Escape from Tarkov.
