(Class 37) Sealions to the Seaside

Class 37 hauled freight train taking stone to Dawlish to strengthen the sea wall defences. Then on, LE to Newton Abbot.

Routes required: Riviera Line Exeter - Paignton, WCML over Shap. BR Blue Pack is also required.

Metropolitan Lines route is NOT required.

Standard Scenario

Difficulty: Medium

Duration: 50 minutes

Description: You are in charge of an Engineering train consisting of six loaded Sealion Wagons taking stone to Dawlish were it is required for work being carried out to bolster the sea wall defences before the winter storms arrive. You are double headed to there. Your first task is to couple to two empty sealion stone wagons in the Riverside Sidings at Exeter. You will then head to Dawlish. Once you arrive you uncouple from the second 37 and wagons so creating an engineering block on the Down main line. You then proceed LE to Newton Abbot. On arrival you will couple to two support coaches in the siding; your shift will then end. The coaches will be taken to Dawlish by another driver later that evening.

Dtiver's Notes: You will encounter some adverse signals on your journey so watch out for AWS warnings. You can feel free to obey all the whistle boards as this route does not give an "Improper Use of Horn" message at the end!!
