Description
Overview:
This script allows mission makers and Zeuses to add more sophisticated light/siren systems to vehicles. When the lights are turned on, dynamic lights are created to simulate the flash from the lights which looks significantly better at night. During the day, 'sphere' objects are created along with the lights so that the lights are easily visible since light sources do not show up well in bright lighting. When the siren is turned on, the siren sound effect will play on loop until it is turned off. The light pattern and siren tone can be changed through the action menu (ACE interaction if using ACE). Light colours and siren tones can be customised for individual vehicles.

This is the mod version, a script version[github.com] is also available if you want to reduce dependencies or hide it from your players in your mission file.

The available light colours are:
  • Red
  • Blue
  • Amber/Orange
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • White
  • Magenta/Purple

Based on common light colours for emergency/utility vehicles according to Wikipedia[en.wikipedia.org].

The available light patterns are 'Alternating', 'DoubleFlash' and 'RapidAlt'.
The available siren types are 'Wail', 'Yelp', 'Phaser' and 'TwoTone'.



Notes:
The lights may detach slightly from the light bar when moving due to the update rate of the light points. I don't think there is anything I can do about this.

This mod is licensed under Arma Public License Share Alike (APL-SA)[www.bohemia.net]
You may not re-upload my mod in a 'mod pack' or 'aux mod', use Steam collections or launcher presets instead. If you are using the script version, you may freely use the script in your missions, private or uploaded to the Steam Workshop without my permission but if you put it on the workshop I would appreciate it if you credited me :)

@Code-095 | Rigby I don't plan on updating these mods anymore so probably not, you can edit the sound files/scripts in the GitHub version to add this sound for yourself if you wanted though

No matter what I do, when I attach lights to a helicopter, AI just keeps increasing the altitude, any work around or tips tricks?

@VojaTheKing This mod adds modules for mission makers to use to add the lights and sirens to vehicles in missions made in the 3den editor. If you do not make missions in the editor or play a mission using this mod it will not do anything

@nocontextephe If you're talking about the comments from this page, I said you can use the script version of the mod which just goes in your mission file. You can edit it as you please without having to load it as a mod or upload it to the workshop as it's just stored in your mission file instead. You can upload this mission file to the workshop if you want but you still cannot take the script files and publish it as your own mod without my permission.

@nocontextephe What hes saying is you may edit for private use using the script version that will mount the sounds/script for the player on said map like I have done so to mine adding 3 new extra sounds to it, but its not allowed for public reupload.

no dude, i have always used it as nocontextephe except for the tag at the end of my name. as far as i remember, you sent a link to a file and said that i could use that file and i guess i couldn't understand it completely because my english is not very good.
