Ika Musume, the Inkvader! [RoG + Vanilla]

-=Background=-
Ika Musume (also known as Squid Girl in English) is the eponymous protagonist of the slice-of-life comedy anime, Shinryaku! Ika Musume!, created by Masahiro Anbe. Tired of humanity polluting her beloved ocean home, Ika invades the surface world to conquer mankind. Unfortunately, she's ignorant of anything beyond the ocean's depths, and more often than not squanders her invasion attempts, having to work as a waitress at a Beach House due to her folly.

-=Information=-
Quick on her feet, Ika is a determined conqueror who will stop at nothing to achieve what she wants. While she may not have the most health, hunger, or sanity, she's deceptively capable of surviving the most perilous of situations. While her health is a paltry 75, she is fast, running at 1.15x normal speed. If she suffers injury, she also will regenerate health by 0.25 HP/second. Though her hunger is below average, at only 135, Ika will eat anything, ignoring spoiled food, and going hungry at a slower pace than normal (0.95x). Finally, while her sanity is a pathetic 100, her determined attitude allows her to surmount any obstacle, giving her a small amount of sanity regen over time. She also isn't afraid of the dark, having spent a lot of time in the deep sea. However, while she talks big, she's terrified of monsters, taking 3x the normal sanity drain from them! However, she's not afraid of ghosts at all.

Ika has a multitude of properties akin to various species of squid, such as her before-mentioned health regeneration and bioluminesence. Bioluminesence can be activated by pressing G by default ( a key that can be changed in configuration ). While glowing, Ika emits a small light radius from her, protecting her from the dark. However, while glowing, she takes 3x the amount of hunger drain. As a squid, she additionally suffers from being unable to hit very hard with her normal arms, dealing only .9x normal damage. She's also extremely weak to fire, taking 3x fire damage, as well as being extremely prone to overheating in the Summer!

Finally, Ika carries her trusty Squid Unit 1 : Hyperion! While she's prone to calling it a bunch of different names on a whim, the Squid Unit 1 may appear as nothing more than a cheap plastic umbrella, but in the hand of a proper ink-vader, it's a deadly weapon. Crafted from 6 twigs, 2 silk, and a peice of flint, the Squid Unit 1 is intitially a weaker spear, with only .95x it's damage and only 112 uses. However, with every hit Ika swings with it, she gains 3 sanity as her faith in her Invasion plan swell and brew!

1. Is this mod compatible with Don't Starve, Reign of Giants, and Shipwrecked?
Yes, this mod works with Don't Starve and Reign of Giants. However, I am unable to confirm if it functions with Shipwrecked [hint: Probably not.]

2. Why did you not add *X ability here*?
Either it was too hard for me, a shoddy coder, to code, or I didn't feel as if it was important or relevant to Ika's character. All of Ika's abilities are more or less based on her attributes in the Anime and Manga.

3. Can I use Ika's code assets for my own mod?
Sure. Knowledge is like fire: it can be spread without diminishing. However, do not use her art without premission.

4. Will you port this to Don't Starve Together?
While I have a DST version of Ika out, it's an old version and may or may not be entirely functional. Once I get everything sorted out, I'll work on porting her again.

Ika Musume is owned and created by Masahiro Anbe, serialized by Weekly Shonen Champion, and owned by Diomedea studio, as well as licensed by Media Blasters in North America, Manga Entertainment in Japan, and Madman Entertainment in Australia. I do not own Ika Musume, and this modication was created with the intent of fair use.

Ika Musume is voiced by Hisako Kanemoto, which is where her voice clips come from. I also do not own the voice clips, which are probably owned by Diomedea studio.

This mod is made for the specific purpose of entertainment in Don't Starve, and is not a replacement for the original media. Please support the official Anime and Manga releases if you are so able to!
