World Wide Buoys -{NO WAKE ZONE UPDATE}-

Description
READ CHANGE NOTES FOR UPDATE INFORMATION!
PLEASE BE PATIENT! THIS IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT! READ DESC!

This mod adds navigation buoys to almost every major port. The buoys are free-floating and this is something I have yet to seen on the workshop, so I assume I am the first but I will not self proclaim that.

I created this to give people with actual boating experience (like myself) a more realistic feel. One of the biggest aids to a captain's navigation are the buoys of the sea, without which countless lives could have been lost throughout time. My grandfather was a sailor, and he always told me as a child, "Trust the buoys, they may just save your life when you least expect it."

I am still working on finishing this Environment. I have a full list of current and upcoming features at the bottom, I encourage everyone to read the rest of this little description, as I have left useful information on the buoys, their meanings, and their placements.

BUOY TYPES AND MEANINGS:

+
RED CHANNEL MARKERS: These markers are placed to the IALA B (Bravo) Standard. They follow the classic rule of "Red right returning." Meaning the red markers will be on the right side of the channel if you are leaving port, and heading out to sea.

+
GREEN CHANNEL MARKERS: These markers are used just like red markers, but on the opposite side of the channel. They mark the opposite side of the channel from the red markers.

+
Both the red and green buoys are used for marking channels, and are used in tandem with each other to outline the port (Left) and starboard (Right) sides of the channel. These are commonly seen by inlets, rivers, and some coastlines. As a captain, you want to stay in between the red and green markers as much as possible, by staying as centered between them as you can. If your vessel is outside of the channel markers, you run the risk of running aground, or hitting submerged/unseen objects.

+
YELLOW MARKERS: These are commonly used to point out hazards in/and/or near the channel/busy area. Some are used to mark areas where boats can pass under bridges or a split in the channel. Occasionally, these markers are used to mark off an area where operating a vessel may become dangerous or harmful to passengers and/or wildlife. These markers should be given plenty of space when able, as usually they mark hazardous areas and/or potential threats.

CURRENT FEATURES: (Please keep in mind, this is frequently updated.)

+
Green, Red, and Yellow channel markers/buoys and Red/White Range Banners in the Arctic Zone.

+
Range Banners for large commercial Vessels. (Currently only one in the Arctic Zone, more will be added around Terminal Spy Cakes, Isles Of Donkk, And the Sawyer Islands)

+
24/7 Buoy and Banner Lighting. (All buoys, markers, and banners do and will have proper lighting. The channel buoys have flashing lights with their respective colors, and the banners have constant spotlights that shine over the banner. The buoys and banners should be completely self-sufficient on all game modes, they should not require any help on career mode but I have not tested this thoroughly.)

+
No Wake Zone signs with proper lighting. These signs are used to mark areas where leaving a wake (the waves that boats and ships make as they move) are strictly prohibited. These can be set due to high traffic areas, at-risk wildlife, or many other reasons. In the United States, failure to obey No Wake Zones can result in a vessel being stopped, boarded, or (depending on the severity of the situation) even arrested. These zones are normally enforced by local maritime law enforcement units or even the United States Coast Guard.

+
FLOATING BUOYS!!!!!!! (This is what im most proud of, I haven't seen any world-wide navigation marking-Environment mods on the Steam Workshop for this game yet. So I feel proud of my work, if you find any issues please feel free to let me know!)

UPCOMING FEATURES: (Please keep in mind, this is frequently updated.)

+
Sector Hailing Channel Pop-Ups! (This may be the hardest, as I'm still a new computer science major and just starting out, this may take the longest to be implemented, but it will be nice! This will add automatic pop-ups when entering the three major area in game, explaining their hailing and emergency VHF radio channels. For example, the United States hailing channel is VHF channel 16, this is used to hail marinas, other vessels, and if needed, the United States Coast Guard.)

+
River Channel Markers! (These are just small green and red triangles on tall poles in the Sawyer Islands river, they will be smaller and more static than the regular buoys, but will leave much more room for larger vessels!)

+
Bridge Passing Guards. (These are just wooden panels that protect the bridge support columns from damage, just in case a boater is *ahem* impaired. These will have proper navigation lighting as well as signs to display the tide level, bridge height, and hailing channel.)

ABSOLUTELY NO RE-UPLOADING!

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT IF YOU FIND ANY ISSUES! I AM ONLINE EVERYDAY AND I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP! IF YOU HAVE ANY NO-WAKE ZONE SIGNS OR CHANNEL MARKERS YOU WISH TO SEE! PLEASE MESSAGE ME A LINK!

TAKE CARE! AND HAPPY SAILING!

I sadly don't know anyone off the top of my head. But I am slowly getting back into the community. I'm gonna be doing some animal rescue stuff soon, so expect that. I also plan to release a concept idea for a new type of buoy, so that show be a whole deal. Might make a new version of this mod too, adding stuff to the new DLC.

Hey, thanks for the awesome words my friend! I am slowly making progress on this project but the next update is still for from complete. I COULD release the current version but I am struggling with certain logic and stuff. I also realize the buoys are not as self powered as I had thought. Finally due to a wipe of my PC, I am also completely re-designing all of the current assets. I am essentially starting from scratch.
