The Aedon class is a line of ships that were designed to patrol and defend a large asteriod belt around Cenfear 9. The large mega planet possessing too hostile an atmosphere for man made ships to venture into but orbited by several smaller planets and a massive asteroid belt.

Ship design was meant to allow the crew to enter, exit, and operate within the belt without risk of having an exposed bridge punctured by floating debris or wayward rocks. The signature 'fly by telemetry' design allows the ships to fly without exposing crew to the harsh light emitted by the dual stars in the local system.

Standard umbilical docking design lets these ships pair up to orbitals, asteroid stations, and more with simple ease while allows crew egress when a much needed shore leave is available and for maintenance. Under mounted connector allows for docking without egress in times where the crew are simply stopping by for refuel/restocking.
