Beyond Ultratech: Smart Weapons

Description
[ko-fi.com]

Newest update (30/12/2021) brings homing bullets! Each weapon has a %25 chance to triggering a ''smart shot''. The only exception is LMG, which is %10. The settings are easily configurable via simple XML knowledge. Enjoy!

''There are monoswords, but no ultratech firearms?''

Have you ever asked this question to yourself?

We did, so here's our offer to add colors into your game:

SMART WEAPONS!

Pinnacle of the human technologies, these amazing pieces of tech are mostly reserved on glitterworld societies but sometimes black markets or reverse engineering does its job. Using machine learning subpersona cores, they turn a baby into a rambo. Hitting like a truck thanks to the fully plasteel case and bullets, these are a serious threat. Glitterworld engineers chose to install subpersona cores because of ethical problems arousing from personhood of personae, but these cores are very optimized for combat and companionship purposes.

They only spawn naturally on Empire pawns. For modders, they all have the SpacerGun tag.

Hella expensive to buy, so consider crafting them -.-

I've been using this since 1.4 released and haven't had any issues with it. Should be fine even though it says 1.3.

I really love this mod. I feel like it was surprisingly well balanced with vanilla (considering the resources and tech level required). I'm very much hoping for a 1.4 update!

Do you plan to update to 1.4?

No, it would need a special patch since there are homing bullets.

sorry if this has already been asked, but is this CE compatible?

Hi there. I will inspect the problem. It's probably about the load order, but sometimes I miss silly stuff. Yeah, I'm a person who writes XML on Windows' own notepad...

There isn't any known incompatibilities. In addition to the fix, I plan on adding a toggle to the homing function. To be honest, the homing function was initially never planned. It adds a special niche, but some people may just want to appreciate the boosts.

Hi Miathea, your mod looks really promising and crafting smart (ranged) weapons seems to be exactly, what my late-game playthrough needs.

I've already craftes a persona core. However, crafting the required "Glitterworld Components" for my weapon doesn`t seem to be possible. ("Glitterworld Fabrication" was researched, of course!)

I guess, the related bill shoud be visible in the blank space?

It's not just the graphics missing, I can't even add the bill to my crafting list.
I don't think, I've overlooked the component somewhere else in the lis, either.

In order to solve the issue, I''ve placed the "Glitterworld component" mod higher in the (admittedly quite extensive) mod list.
Do you have any recconmondations regarding the load order?

Do you know about any further mod incompatibilities? You do not mention any in your mod description. (BTW, I do not run CE)
