Erannorth Reborn - Classes

Description
You'll be able to make characters using Erannorth Reborn Classes once again.

Here's what's already in this mod:
  • Warlock Specialization. It's a Subclass of the Conjurer Class.
  • Warlock cards.
  • Warlock Starting Gear.
  • Warlock Faction.
  • Warlock Perks.
  • Ordo Tenebris Templar Specialization. It's a Subclasse of the Knight Class.
  • More Ordo Tenebris cards.
  • Ordo Tenebris Templar Starting Gear.
  • Ordo Tenebris Templar Perks.
  • Occult Expertise.
  • Ordo Tenebris "Contact" cards now have the real Ally correspondent to it's name (Obtained by picking new perks that require the contact perks). The allies are the unique "Lieutenant" type just like in Reborn (so only 1 can be in play at the same time and the card disappears from the stash once used), they all have an added option to use their Contact cards.
  • "The Chained Vampire" event will now award the actual Allies (like in Erannorth Reborn), the allies have an added option to use the new Chronicles Contact cards with the same name as the ally.
  • Old background perks are now actual Backgrounds that can be picked at character creation.

The Shadow Templar specialization was renamed to "Ordo Tenebris Templar" so it won't conflict with the base game.

I will be updating this mod every time I finish a new class.

This mod is being released as part of my modular Erannorth Chronicles Reborn project. This project aims to bring into Chronicles all the missing things from Reborn (Enemies, Races, Classes, Cards, etc.).
Each part of this project will be released as it's own mod, this is so players that only want the enemies (or races, or classes etc.) can do so without having to put up with all the other things.
It will also be easier for me to keep up with making the mods, since my health isn't the best and I never know when I stop being able to work on mods for a while.

Other Erannorth Chronicles Reborn mods:
You can get the "Erannorth Reborn: Enemies - A New World" mod here:
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2627578288
You can get the "Erannorth Reborn - Races" mod here:
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2631091468

Each Faction (You can pick one Faction perk after creating your character) creates it's own new Expertise. This was made to prevent anyone from getting access to allies from those factions, since the game would enable them to be purchased by anyone in towns with their races as population.
Making new Expertises was the only way I could find to restrict these cards to characters that actually joined the Faction (by picking the perk).
You only need to raise each faction expertise to 5, since there's no card that requires more than that to be played.

The modded allies use a frame template made by Ratley (but edited a bit by me), you can find the link to it at the end of this description.

Some cards that exist in Reborn also exist in Chronicles, but they are different enough that they won't work the same way anymore, so usually I have to edit the Reborn versions and make a "new" old card that works the same as in Reborn. This causes problems, because usually the card art is the same in both versions, so I usually try to change colors a bit and/or rotate or mirror the image, so the cards get more distinguishable between versions. But some are still pretty much visually similar. There's nothing I can do about this.

I tested it a bit, but there's so many cards, perks, etc. that's impossible to test everything properly by myself. If you find any bugs or problems, please tell me.

Thank and have fun.

Thank you Ratley for your nice frame.
Thank you Raven for making Erannorth Reborn and Chronicles. And for allowing the porting from one to another.

Unfortunately, I have no idea either, sorry. You will have to ask the developer of the game, since they were first part of the Erannorth Reborn game.

An interesting fact about why I made this mod is the Occult expertise and its cards. I really wanted to have these cool looking cards back in Erannorth Chronicles too. And that was why the two classes I already made for this mod were the ones that have access to the Occult Expertise.

I love the Occult Expertise! good job!
Any idea where does it originate? I know that Arcana Expertise are just tarot cards. Occult cards are somewhat similar to tarot cards but they are not? I tried to google search some of the Occult cards and still have no idea what they are.

Those are development files and are not implemented or used by the mod (yet). The mod only uses the code from the CardECR.Classes.tdb, all the other files are ignored by the game.
These "extra" files are included on the mod for the following reasons:

Making it easier for me to work on future updates of this mod (since all files are accessible on the mod folder), backup (if I accidentally delete my local version of the mod, i can just download the Workshop one and lose no work) and (the biggest reason) for people who might want to take over this mod one day if I lose interest in working on it or suddenly disappear (I have some health problems so that's a posibility).

People can easily access the remaining files and know which ones were already implemented and which ones aren't. Since this way they don't have to own, install and go dig through the Erannorth Reborn game files to get them. :steamhappy:

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my previous comment. :ec_treasure:

I think it was "night sister" and other stuff with the "temptress" tags and their content are missing in game.

for instance looking at your files there is a lot of "hecate" cards that wont show in the card list in game

Thank you for the comment.
The code for the Coven Acolyte ability was missing. It should be fixed now.

Can you share more information about what other content you notice missing?

It's a nightmare to try and find problems and accidental ommisions when there's so many cards, perks, etc. code to comb through that any help is hugely appreciated.

There's a few classes not yet implemented by this mod, that's because the developer is always adding new content for free and there's a chance that he might add those classes that existed in Reborn back in Chronicles. I did these two because they used the Occult expertise that has such a beautiful art, and a few players asked for it.

there seem to be some unimplemented content in this mod, most notably I saw a coven acolyte that had a missing ability (it seems there is a whole archetype or more that are either unfinished, bugged out or "blocked")

The Shadow Templar gets Organization perks at certain levels (1, 3, 6, 8, 12), that's just like it was in Erannorth Reborn.
It's choice of perks to get using PP includes more perks thna just the Organization ones though.

I think it was set up like that, because the Shadow Templar is a special class that can only be picked if the character is part of the Organization. And it's lore says that they are part of the original families that created of that Organization, so they are advance automatically in that organization's ranks.

Should be fixed now, hopefully...

Thanks a lot for these reports :steamhappy:

This update took longer because I actually had to make several cards and also make new Miniature art too.

I guess I rushed to release this mod before I would stop having time for modding, and in doing so I forgot a few things. :steamfacepalm:

Sorry about that.
