Nemesis Auto Movement Tool

Description
"What is this?"

This is a tool that can be used for the officially supported mods of the board games, Nemesis, and Nemesis: Lockdown authored by kensuaga (links below). Once turned on, anytime a player moves their Character Figure to a different Room, nearly all of the upkeep involved with a movement action (rotating the Room, placing components, rolling for noise, etc.) will be resolved automatically by a script. It's easy to use, and eliminates the most tedious aspect of playing Nemesis, providing a faster and more enjoyable experience.

Here is a full list of what it does:
- Reveals an unexplored Room and its Exploration Token when dropping a Character Figure on it.
- Rotates the Room Tile to match the Item amount shown by the revealed Exploration Token.
- Will place revealed Exploration Tokens in neatly arranged slots on this tool's panel.
- Will place all necessary tokens generated by an Exploration Token such as Fire and Malfunction markers, and Doors (the door will be placed in the center of the Room Tile and must manually be placed in the Corridor you moved from).
- Will generate a marker on the Slime Slot of your player dashboard if you reveal either a Slime Exploration Token or a Slime Room.
- After you have moved to a new Room, the script will automatically roll Noise for you using a random number generator (can be toggled off if you prefer to manually roll for Noise).
- If Auto Noise Rolling is turned on, it will place a Noise marker in the correct corridor.
- If an Encounter is generated after automatically placing Noise, the script will remove Noise markers from all nearby Corridors (though everything else involved with an Encounter, such as placing the Alien, surprise attack, etc. must be resolved manually).
- If you roll a Danger or reveal a Danger Exploration Token, the script will place Noise in all adjacent Corridors without Noise (if an Alien is to move to your Room as a result of this, you must manually remove the Noise that was placed and resolve the Alien movement).
- If you roll a Silence or reveal a Silence Exploration Token, the script will know if it must place Noise (if you are Slimed) or not.


"How do I include this in my Nemesis games?"

Load this mod on Tabletop Simulator. Next, save the object there by right-clicking it and selecting the 'Save Object' button.

After loading your Nemesis Table, click on 'Objects' in the top toolbar of your UI. Then, click on 'SAVED OBJECTS', and you should be able to find this tool and load it into your Nemesis games.


"How do I use this once it's in my game?"

Once the tool is in your game, press the ON button ONLY AFTER ALL ROOM TILES, EXPLORATION TOKENS AND CHARACTER FIGURES HAVE BEEN SET ON THE BOARD. If you press the ON button BEFORE Room Tiles, Exploration Tokens and Character Figures have been set on the board, then the tool WILL NOT WORK and you will need to RELOAD THE TABLE.

You will also need to enable Turns. If you are unfamiliar on how to do this, from the toolbar on the top part of your screen, click on Options --> Turns. Then click on the check box to the right of 'Turns' to enable them.

This tool's features only work for the player whose turn it is, so no worrying about accidentally moving stuff and mistakenly revealing things outside your turn. When it is your turn, to enact a movement action, pick up your Character Figure and drop it on the Room Tile you are moving to (or even Rooms without a tile such as Engine Rooms). Then, watch the magic happen. Be sure to manually resolve Intruder Attacks before moving. Also be advised, some upkeep involved with movement is not automated by this tool and you will have to resolve whatever those are manually (refer to the "What is this?" section above for a full list of this tool's capabilities and what must manually be resolved).

If you wish to use the Auto Noise Rolling feature provided by this tool, to use a Careful Movement without having the script place Noise markers, simply toggle off the Auto Noise Roller before moving your Character Figure. This can be done by pressing the 'TOGGLE' button found on the Tool, OR pressing 8 on your Numpad. Whether or not you have the Auto Noise Roller turned on, it will be indicated on the Tool as text showing "ON" or "OFF" in your Player Color.

Also note that if you are going to place Noise markers manually, you'll need to place them in a specific area of a Corridor in order for the script to correctly read if a Corridor has Noise. To make it easier to know this, the Tool will generate script zones near the part of the Corridors marked with caution stripes (or boxes/arrows in the Alternate Board/Lockdown Board).

This tool can also work on modded nemesis tables that are based on Ken's mod, but moving the board and placement of the rooms and exploration tokens outside their normal positions from the official mods will cause this tool not to function properly. Additionally, the modded table must include the same hand colors as Ken's mods.

UPDATES

• 02/03/22: Fixed several issues with moving into a Room with no Exploration Token, added a debug feature (type '-debug' while the tool is active to use), and adjusted Room Item count setup to appropriate amount when entering unexplored Rooms in a Solo game. (If you saved the tool prior, you will need to re-save it in order for the update to apply.)

• 11/21/21: Fixed a major bug that generated an error on danger rolls in certain Rooms on the Lockdown board.

Hey, lovely mod. I noticed that the turrets you're trying to place don't actually exist (since you said it would be compatible with the standart edition)
It seems like there should be a turret miniature, but that's nowhere to be found. How is it supposed to work?

@Hachiman I tested the auto movement tool in Lockdown and it works fine. Be advised if you are playing single player, the amount of items in a room is half, rounded up. While the mod for Lockdown on TTS has no single player mode, the tool will still register the game as such if you are the only sitting player. You can test this in a hotseat game by enabling multiple local players.

yeah I double checked to make sure turns are enabled. It works great in the original nemesis but for some reason in lockdown the rotation isn't working for me. What is weird is using the "Auto Exploration tool" it does work, its just using Auto-Movement it doesn't. Everything else is though (noise, rooms being flipped over), it's just the room doesn't rotate to match the items in the room. Oh well. Must be something weird with my computer. Not sure. Still thanks for the great mod, it still saves a lot of time.

@Hachiman, you must enable turns for it to work, and the turn must be set to the player who is moving the figurine.

Awesome mod. Thank you. Everything works great for me except for the room tiles being rotated to match the number of items on the exploration token. I used your exploration mod separately and the room tile rotation works with that mod, but it doesn't work with the auto movement mod. I used the -debug command to no avail. Anything else I can try? Thank you.

Also, be sure not to turn the tool ON until the drafting phase is finished. It needs all character figures, room tiles and exploration tokens to be on the board in order to register them, otherwise the tool will not work.
