Outside of that - witch bag crushes the server again, I'll send you that log in PM XD
Do you have any other mods enabled, or perhaps some special world generation settings?
The client log is always created, regardless of mods or games or crashing. Just open DST and exit and it'll generate a client log. If that doesn't happen then I think you're looking in the wrong place.
As for the crashes themselves, I can't see how just being subscribed to a mod could have an effect... but even if it did, you said it was Cherry Forest that causes this, right? I'm guessing you mean this mod:
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1289779251
I'm actually subscribed to it too, but it doesn't crash for me. So there's definitely something more here.
Try opening the local files for a saved game from inside DST (there's a button for it) and then go one folder up. That's where the client log should be, unless they changed something.
I know where to look for logs, but the folder is empty. There are directories for backups and another one titled with numbers, and that's all.
And since we both still have interest in these shenanigans, I guess I have no choise than to crash it a few more times XD
It gets generated, even if it doesn't show you an error message when the game closes.
If the mod isn't active it should have no bearing on the game.
Note, however, that DST has two main types of mods: server mods and client mods.
Perhaps you had a client mod active?
Honestly not surprised, this mod breaks pretty much everything and is barely functional by itself. A shame, it has somewhat nice art.
Aaaanyway, it still refuses to generate logs, so I guess this case is closed due to lack of evidence XD
The client log will most likely still created. That's a file on your computer, not something it shows you on the screen.
Well, for now, please try creating a game with only this mod active and see if it still happens.
And how do I know it's this mod - easy, I start a new server with 5 mods active and see if it will crash, if it doesn't - I start a new one with another five and so on until I find the five that does crash it, and then I create servers with only one of those five mods active to narrow it down to the one at fault.
I'll try to crash it a few more times later today, see if it will generate something
I tried reproducing this issue just now. I created an empty world with just this mod and built a Science Machine and then a chest, and they both worked fine.
Can you please specify what exactly you built and why you think it's this mod that causes the issue?
Also, when the game crashes, it's either a server-side issue, in which case you get a "disconnected from server" message there's a server_log.txt file, or it's a client issue, in which case the entire game closes (usually with an error message) and there's a client_log.txt file.
What did you see happening?
