Description
This is the updated version of my classic weapon overhaul, I had to rebuild from scratch so a lot of features and changes are still in the wings, but I plan on bringing all of them back and updated for the new War updates and the like.
There's a lot of new features to bring in since my last major overhaul so I hope to incorporate those to all the new blocks and features.

Stand by for updates to this, follow it, track it whatever.

If you're new to my overhaul it brings a complete reworking to vanilla weapons and armour characteristics. More realistic weapon ranges geared towards multiplayer vs encounters across dozens of kilometers instead of hundreds of meters. Higher rates of fire, more destructive weapons, more varieties of munitions (coming soon).

I highly recommend Speed of Light speed mod to best experience this. As well as the RavenBolt tiered weapons mods, as they use vanilla ammunitions which my mod affects.
This mod also increases the maximum search area of sensor blocks to work with radar scripts in a size and performance friendly manor.

To reduce complication and keep it as vanilla friendly as possible I may not add some of the old ammunition types such as 14.5mm as the new damage multiplier variables in weapons allow for greater flexibility between weapons without undue complexities, though I do intend to bring back the old MLS rocket types.

Again I'll be updating this to the new code base so stand by for updates!

I also will be looking forward to an update if it happens...weaponcore ruined a lot of good modders imho.

Yeah, me and WC dev have completely different design philosophies, I wanted to enhance vanilla, and put a focus on player made weapons, and they wanted to do something else to replace PMW's for server reasons(?) and also their mod is meant to be played with shield mods apparently. One of my partners was working with them at one point, and while I've never used their stuff, I can say that we're two completely opposite paths.
I do really want to give it a final polish and unkink some of my balance issues in the end though.

I can definitely understand that so don't stress to much about it!

I can't speak for others, but I personally would be very grateful for a 'final' polish update! ^^
As previously mentioned, I prefer playing with your mod, which just makes more sense in my eyes than either Vanilla or WeaponCore 'warefare' gameplay. Also WC has been a little janky from time to time, never mind that they just changed and also removed some stuff >:(

Your mod on the other hand, which might be a more simpler modification to SE's gameplay compared to WC or so has just worked great for the better part in the last 2-3 years or so since I've been using it =)

Life can be unpredictable so I won't be counting on an update but rather hoping for it... if that makes sense =)


PS: Keen can make some good looking turret models and whatnot but not good 'gun gameplay' in my opinion >_>

I haven't updated it in a really long time, I did want to give it a something of a final polish and have it work for SE's forseable future but life has kinda gotten in the way of that and I haven't touched SE in a while. I probably will give it one last update though, it's been pretty broken for a long time.

Hello there, is the mod still being updated? I honestly prefer playing with this mod rather than using WC and mods that use it. :steamhappy:

It doesn't, I'd have to write an entirely new target locking system for the game to replace the regular one in the game. Instead it increases the range at which sensor blocks and custom turret controllers can spot and engage targets (which is tremendously longer and more capable than it used to be) to help support various radar and sensor scripts.
The range at which this all can happen is far beyond visual range so the built in target locking system would be pretty useless anyway.

It does not, it only overhauls all the vanilla blocks. It does add a few new blueprints for items into the game for ammunition but that's it.
