Description

Gourmet Pemmican, bringing all the wonderful flavours from Vanilla Cooking Expanded's condiments to your #1 choice for travel food and Neolithic/Medieval playthroughs.


Enhance your flavourless balls of meat & veggies with everything from Salt to Luciferium Powder! For a little more work compared to good ol' Pemmican, you get:
  • +4 Mood buff for 12 hours after consumption.
  • 10% nutrition, up from 5%.
  • Marginally increased mass.
  • Marginally increased value (cannot be bought or sold).
  • A new use for all your condiments lying around.
Recipe: 0.50 Nutrition MeatRaw, 0.50 Nutrition PlantFoodRaw, 1 Condiment.
Produces: 16 Gourmet Pemmican.

Condiment effect and mood boost to NOT stack based on amount consumed per sitting, and stacks with different condiments do not stack, reducing abuse.

  • Q: Does this have bulk recipes?
  • A: No, but the recipe is for 16 (1.6 units of hunger), or about two pawns' worth of hunger (assuming 30% need). A bulk recipe means you could accidentally end up with a stack of Gourmet Pemmican with multiple condiment effects. Very broken!
  • Q: Is this mod complete?
  • A: Is any mod ever truly complete? But yes. I hope.

  • Pemmican recipe sometimes fails to appear on cooking benches from mods. If Pemmican is researched and you do not see a bill for Gourmet Pemmican on a cooking bench that can make Pemmican, do let me know so I can sort this mod lower.

Ah yes, Gourmet, cultured, classy. For the tribal with a more refined pallet. Definitely not just poo poo with corn in it and a leaf on top.

well, that is fair. the problem was for one it does allow for extra buffs, of especially say, resurector nanites, and that it is meant to be less eficient
to be honest though i forgot what the talk was properly about as only now steam sent me a notif, lol

Regarding your last point, if the player wants to micromanage the hell out of that for a few % buffs, I'm not going to stop them.

It's currently exactly as efficient as traditional pemmican, nutrition-wise, plus the condiment. I don't see making it less nutritious per input making much sense, but maybe I'm misunderstanding your stance?

I still disagree to be honest as it's still very efficient food and the reason why it usually did not have a mood buff(even tho it needs meat n veggies) is that it holds for like a year or maybe longer. But it's better now at least

And the spreading around part was like, imagine making a go juice stock, using it for the pemmican and giving everyone one piece of pemmican
