Gargantua is a supermassive rotating black hole with an accretion disk. It is located 10 billion light-years from Earth. For comparison, the Andromeda galaxy is 2.52 million light-years from Earth.

Gargantua mass = 100 million. Suns'. Radius of the black hole = 150 million.
kilometers (approximately 1 AU, the distance from the Sun to the Earth). The speed of rotation is 10^-14 less than the maximum possible ≈ 1150 revolutions per second.

This mass is enough to prevent tidal forces on the planet Miller from ripping it in half.

Endurance is parked at a distance of 10 AU, and is orbiting at a speed of c/3 (100,000 km/s), in the opposite direction to Gargantua's rotation.
