The increased mass solves the issue of units being too effective at counter charging
The no messing with infantry mass means no worries for balance there (ie with them vs infantry, something the cav beta does not even talk about)
Units still charge through their own unit so even tho the increased mass is literally denying them attacks(by sending them flying or knocking them on their ass) anti large units still will deal decent damage, and bracing is super effective(honestly no clue what smoking there with the beta, not like unit bracing was never in the game lol)
The speed and accel also help cav get out of being tied down without them just being able to straight up cheese out of a melee they are legit bogged down into.
