Optimizing Fallout 4 for People with BAD CPUs using MODS! (NO DLC/Achievements Enabled)
By yung frank
Do you have a subpar CPU that cant handle Fallout 4's Cluttered and Unoptimized textures? (Pentium G4560 and Above)

Do you hate looking at a graphically demanding area where your framerates just dip from solid 50-60 then instantly dropping much lower than that? maybe even into the 40s and 30s? Do you hate dreading to look at the Boston area and Diamond City in fear of your frames going lower than you want it too? well my short and simple mod list shall guide you fellow vault dweller!

Before doing anything performance related, never forget to lower Shadows Distance to Medium upon launching the game, it is a notorious performance hit

Using Vortex To install Mods (simple for beginners, skip if already familiar with modding)
go to Vortex [www.nexusmods.com] and install vortex, click on "Manual" scroll down, click "Manual Download" and launch the exe you just downloaded, You will then need to log in your Nexus account into the Vortex Mod Manager This is mostly for Novice modders, Vortex is great for Simplifying the modding process

After that, go to Select Game to Manage if you already have Fallout 4 Installed it should be automatically detected and easily managable on startup, if not then you can locate the file down below and set that as the path directory for Vortex to manage

Local Disk (C:) -> Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Fallout 4

Mod #1 : Optimized Vanilla Textures
Optimized Vanilla Textures[www.nexusmods.com]

Upon visiting the download page click on "Vortex" to install this mod through Vortex, Otherwise if for whatever reason you chose not to install it using vortex and instead Opted to Manual Download you can always Drag and drop that file into Vortex to make it so its as if you Downloaded it thru vortex, this same method also applies to the rest of the mods listed in this guide!
is a mod that greatly optimizes fallout 4's textures (duh) from what i've noticed having this mod installed is that my framerates are much more consistent and looking at certain places does benefit me performance-wise, this mod alone will not help you achieve the True Optimized vanilla Fallout Experience, Be sure to install the ones listed After this one
Mod #2 : FAR - Faraway Area Reform
FAR- Faraway Area Reform[www.nexusmods.com] is a Mod that Optimizes Fallout 4's Distant Land textures allowing for better performance and less stutter, Download using the same Method as Previous mod!
Mod #3 : Vivid Fallout
Vivid Fallout[www.nexusmods.com] is a Pretty Snazzy mod that not only makes the game run better, it also makes it look better, it takes up much less VRAM than vanilla despite giving it a nicer, more vivid and detailed feel, this could be Optional but i highly recommend this mod to anyone willing to realize their NO-DLC performancemaxxing
Mod #4 : Ultra Quality God Rays Performance Fix
Ultra Quality God Rays Performance Fix[www.nexusmods.com] is an Amazing mod for anyone looking to Optimize their god rays, assuming they are running it on ULTRA and want to avoid Sacrificing about 20 frames everytime they switch it on, this mod will help you remedy that! keep in mind, while these mods may work perfectly on most machines, they may not always work perfectly for you, aside from that there is a very minor detail that i must mention, there can sometimes be a very slight shimmering effect when light squeezes through very tiny surfaces when this mod is on, again, very minor so take that for what you will!

note that this mod is to be installed manually and not using vortex

Mod 5# (IMPORTANT!!!) Achievement Mods Enabler (no Vortex this time)
Achievement Mods Enabler[www.nexusmods.com] is what we are going to need for our Achievements to pop up despite having mods installed, Unfortunately the install method is different this time, but fortunately its extremely simple! simply download the files and open them, then simply copy/extract them into fallout 4's root directory! the directory is listed down below but a much simpler method to find it is to Right click on Fallout 4 in your Steam Library, then Click "Properties" then go to "Local Files" then click "Browse" in local files!

Local Disk (C:) -> Program Files (x86) -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Fallout 4

Heads up, newer version of Vortex allow installing mods that go in the root folder instead of the data folder, in the right window with mod info, set the mod type at the bottom to "engine ejector" instead of "default"
