Introduction:

The COHORT 1 MBT is a fictional tank which was created by me with no factual guidance in any way, inspiration was taken from real tanks, the Leopard 2A6, Merkava MK4, M1A2 Abrams & of course the FV4034 Challenger 2. The function of the tank is to provide frontline support against small arms, garrisoned positions & any enemy armoured vehicles & neutralize all these threats.

The Tank in Stormworks, features working composite and space armour which provides genuine protection against enemy projectiles. The tank is a 1:1 scale that of a real tank. There are many features on hand which you can use, as well as features that operate in the background to provide a smoother experience while using this creation. And even when roleplaying, working protection systems.

The tank is meant to represent what a current day tank would look like and has all the features + more that one would have. The engine is real and has a series of checks it does before fully starting up and the startup is that of a real tank.

This is really cool and I like the in-depth manual. I do hope you return to this and give it actual weapons, preferably an artillery gun!

Please update or make a separate version of this with the Weapons DLC. Thanks

This is a very beautiful and elegant tank. I like him very much. Based on my knowledge of the military, I made some modifications to the vehicle. If I can, I'd like to join your tank plan or discuss it together.:selike:

I don't know what rockets you're talking about, some time ago I just found a very, very simple vehicle that looks Russian, with 4 rockets in the back. It is very unique, it has a folding screen on the passenger side. Anyway, it takes one rocket to fully knock out this tank. I only mentioned the turret problem, because if you play alone, you can't really use it when you turn the turret too much, but I know that it isn't supposed to be used like that, so, I'm sorry. We'll see how it'll be once the weapons DLC is available. They even said that they could optimize the performance even more, but they won't do it, because it would affect the vehicles in the Workshop... Pretty stupid argument if you ask me.

cont: The turret (whole turret). And engine (Whole engine). However if damage is sustained to any of the parts linked to the FSS, the likely hood of it working is very low. As for the turret blocking you. Yes that is true, but is also true for many other IRL tanks. And in an emergency the driver can just use the emergency door which leads to the turret basket. Thank you for your feedback!

cont: The APS is also working but is temperamental, it only works for radar guided missiles, and doesnt always work, this is just because of stormworks and there is no way i can make it better unless there are more flares that get deployed, increasing the chances of the missile going for that. Following your FSS question, yes using the rockets u are using, (im assuming the APN ones). Any modern day tank will be knocked out by a single good hit, if you use the EPF railgun you will see results similar to what is stated in the Armour Analysis in the user guide. The FSS covers the drivers comarment (mostly the rear).

@DottierMage30 the reason you put it in Lo Gear when you start is to prevent the engine from stalling, yes as you pick up speed, go into Hi Gear. It's like a real car, you wouldnt start the car in 6th gear as it would stall, it is unlikely to stall but if u immediately do turns after starting you will stall it. The realistic armour is as good as i can get it in stormworks, if u look in front of the drivers feet you will see angled blocks everywhere inside, that is composite armour, in SW it doesnt do much but irl it would, however it still slows down the penetration of the projectiles i used to test the vehicle. Rockets are overkill and do more damage than the EPF Railgun i used. (Think of a hellfire hitting a tank, any modern day tank wont survive that).

I mean... the tank itself is pretty nice... But why should I put it to ''Low'' mode, when it performs much better in ''High'' mode? Unrealistically well, to be precise. Also, what is the ''Realistic armor'' supposed to do? I shot the tank using 4 rockets, the defense system was not able to make rockets fly towards the flare and it takes one rocket to completely defeat the fire suppression system, which in case of a fire, would make the tank useless because there is not other way to fight the fire. Also, if you turn the turret a certain way, the driver can't get out of his place. There is not enough room to make fire extinguishers work, so any fire is devastating.

Keep making these amazing tanks!
