You know all the junk on your map? The ancient remains of war spiders, cars, drop beacons, destroyed mechs, etc. It gets rid of that. And mapgen means when your map is created before loading in.

Couldn't you just patch out the items under MapCommonBase or is it better to remove the order nodes, I wrote a version that did the former since I couldn't find anything like this and now I'm curious
