CAATINGA [SP/CooP - 18]

-A few weeks ago a group has broken into a nearby Army training facility, took an ARMY OFFICER hostage and then stole many weapons and military supplies from the armory.

-These hostile actions taken by a secluded and fanatical religious community have led the government to send a special group from the armed forces to restore order in the remote region of the Caatinga.


A fighting force specialized in surviving and executing combat operations in the desert-like arid biome of the Caatinga, found exclusively in the Brazilian northeastern region.



Oh Lord,
Thou that were wise to make the rivers and seas.
Thou seems to have forsaken our dear hinterlands.
Thou that have given to men
the Earth from which to take what he needed
Thou have not given us the same luck.
However, in this day, Our Lord
I see how benevolent Thou has truly been
To us Caatinga warriors
Thou have given us resistance to the sizzling Sun
the wisdom to extract from nature everything we need
the willpower to fight
and to never retreat in front of the foe
I Thank thee, Our Lord,
because Thou has created an environment
in which no ordinary human can survive
because only those who persevere,
the strong in spirit,
can fight here.
