FR-27 "Sanction" Flechette Rifle [WOTC]

Description
"The World doesn't care about right or wrong. It's all about power. And right now, none of us have it."

The FR-27 S.F.W. (also known as the "Sanction") is a widely-deployed combat firearm used by military forces, corporate security, and special police and tactical units. Fully automatic, with a compressed-air rotary helix feeding system, it fires fin-stabilized discarding-sabot 5.56x45mm NATO flechette ammunition for both penetration and stopping power.

This tactical combat weapon features:
- Three weapon tiers
- Custom fire and reload animations with particle effects
- Custom sounds
- Tintable textures
- Two secondary fire modes
- Config for weapon stats
- Attachable suppressor (requires Template Master to be previewed)
- Prototype Armory/Covert Infiltration support

Can be added to inventory mid-campaign.
Weapon and ability stats can be adjusted for separate weapon tiers in the XComSanctionRifle.ini file.

FR-27 S.F.W. has two secondary fire modes:

Single Fire: grants an aim bonus, while dealing lower damage.

Full Auto: deals higher damage at a cost of aim penalty. Uses 2 ammo points by default.

The alternate fire modes do not deal critical damage (can be toggled in the .ini file)

Considering the combatibility with Covert Infiltration you have a typo in Strategy Tuning in the template. You left {SanctionRifle_MG} instead of SanctionRifle_MG. Thanks

awesome model for the gun, but it's basically a better default rifle in almost every way. wish all it did was be a skin, not be a whole weapon with unique traits due to how blatantly better it is than any default weapon. The fact you can put attachments on it is insane to me given how much better of a gun it is by default due to being able to increase its accuracy. the damage drop off does not matter in the slightest if it guarantees damage via increased accuracy, making it perfect for picking things off. and because you choose when to do this, you don't have to always carry that damage drop off if you dont want to. insane to me.

Works just fine and the different firemodes are a cool addition but my Lord does the gun sound atrocious. Vehemently regret running a rookie squad and Idle Suppression using this gun.

Dear @Aquilio! Please, add support Prototype Armory! Your mod is excellent! This is my very beloved rifle with many improvments like holotargeting and infiltration hours -4! BUT, this is some imbalanced and I want to make this rifle buildable from capaign's start!

Oh ok. I was using Weapon Skin Replacer not Xskin. I'll look into it.

@Haywire I couldn't reproduce the issue, sadly.

Here are the steps which worked for me:

1) Hide all FR-27 tiers with the Item Hider (either manually through config file or MCM Menu)
2) Equip the rifle you want to reskin (on a soldier)
3) Upgrade it with a repeater/suppressor
4) Reskin the rifle using the XSkin mod by Iridar (set the OWNED filter to "off" to find the FR-27 skin)

Steps 3) and 4) should also work when done the other way around.

@Aquilio So I got the Item Hider mod and set up the rifle as a skin. Works fine other than the suppressor/repeater attachment doesn't show up any more. Is there something else I need to do or is that not something that can be changed?

@Haywire If you're playing with Covert Infiltration/Prototype Armory, then deleting .ini files in the weapon's mod folder should be enough (XComInfiltration, XComStrategyTuning, XComWeaponTuning). Not recommended to do mid-campaign, though.

Otherwise, the mod doesn't have ghost template functionality at the moment, but you can try using an Item Hider to hide the weapons from the list and use them as skins only (e.g. with XSkin mod).

Back up your save before doing this, just to be safe.
