Basic Requirements
Most of the mods will come from Nexus Mods, meaning you require Vortex or NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) to use them. You will also need a Nexus account to install them.

Nexus Mods Webpage:
https://www.nexusmods.com/

Vortex:
https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1

NMM:
https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/4

Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE) is required for many of the mods to function. Installation link can be found on the webpage below:
https://f4se.silverlock.org/

The Fallout 4 Unofficial Patch is not required, but recommended as it fixes many bugs that cause crashes and potentially make you lose progress.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4598

Workshop Framework does nothing on its own, but is required for some of the mods.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35004

Armor and Weapons Community Keyword Resource (AWCKR) is used in some of the armor mods. If you do not plan on using said mods, it is better not to install this mod as it takes up multiple gigabytes. Highly recommend that you DON'T use this unless you build your entire load order around outdated mods or enjoy having no stability
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6091

The Mod Configuration Menu is needed to adjust settings on multiple mods.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21497

Settlement Keywords Extended is required for some of the object mods.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12226

Settlement Menu Manager is also required for most of the object mods.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24204

Mods made by Ethreon require The Master Plan (you will be notified of this when trying to install them).

Building System Improvements
All-In-One Settlement Solution
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6304
Lets you craft a switch that gives plenty of each resource (including power) so that your settlers stop complaining. Also acts as a power source. Crafting multiple is very likely to cause problems like crashes, so only have one in each settlement at a time.

All Settlements Expanded
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25316
Massively expands the build area of every settlement. Sometimes intercedes with existing structures that you may not want to remove, but you can always choose to not scrap them. It is recommended not to use the "scrapall" command with this mod active, as it will scrap everything in the extended build area as well.

Console Commands Compilation
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10589
Adds new console commands, and also adds a system to search for commands in case you forgot them or need to find one you need.

Fallout 76 C.A.M.P.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32772
Alternative to Mobile Workshop, less buggy and more lore-friendly. C.A.M.P.s are craftable at Chemistry workbenches.

G2M - Workshop
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17088
Adds some new objects, but also makes some changes to the settlement system for quality of life.

Higher Settlement Budget
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/818
Allows you to use the "bat settlement" command on any workshop to ludicrously increase the budget. Note that settlements with too many objects will lead to FPS drops, bugs, and many, many crashes.

Mobile Workshop
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43493
Allows you to build absolutely anywhere. Somewhat buggy, and can break the game very easily, so use at your own risk.

Move That Workbench
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7507
Allows you to pick up and move the workbench for a settlement, even though Place Anywhere already has an option for this, albeit more finicky. Useful if it is in an inconvenient or inaccessible place. Moving the bench will not move the settlement borders in named settlements.

No Settlement Attacks
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11317
Disables settlement attacks so that you don't get disrupted by annoying sidequests while building.

Place Everywhere
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424
One of the best mods for building. Not only can you place objects absolutely anywhere, this mod allows you to; make small positional and rotational adjustments for objects so they fit perfectly, turn off workshop timeout, disable item physics (dropped items cannot be moved), move the workbench, and scale objects to be larger or smaller.

Scrap Everything
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5320
Allows you to scrap (almost) everything. Be careful with this mod, because it is easy to accidentally delete something for which there is no way to get back. Some objects cannot be scrapped, such as the actual terrain (not terrain presets like dirt hills, rocks, etc), but the mod is useful for getting rid of obnoxious previously unscrappable objects, or for cleaning off all kinds of messes that your settlers should have cleaned by now. You can even delete NPC markers, invisible lighting markers, and fog/mist markers.

Settlement Management Software
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12032
Adds a holotape that can be used to manage settlers. Similar to the Vault-Tec Population Management System, but has even more management options.

Workshop Plus
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35005
Offers tools such as flight in workshop mode, cloning designs, undo/redo buttons, layers, and unlimited resources.
~~~~~Large Builds~~~~~
Foundations
1x1 Craftable Foundation Pieces
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7780
Adds foundations which are a fourth of the size of the default concrete foundations. Useful for adding variety to larger wall structures.
BuildingBlocks Foundations
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8907
Adds a bunch of new concrete foundations to build with, and has its own section of the menu.
JCW Builder
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19158
Adds in in a few more concrete foundations, ramps, and railings. Good for industrial themed builds.
Stackable Brick Walls and Foundations
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7510
Adds even more variants of concrete foundations which snap to each other and the default concrete foundations.
Stackable Concrete Foundations
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6362
Pretty much a requirement for most of the rest of the foundation related mods to work as intended.
New Settlement Objects
Advanced Bubble Turret Set
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11189
25 new bubble turret types you can build. Some may or may not be overpowered. With this version of the mod, you can place the turrets on ceilings, walls, and floors.
Advanced Settlement Turret Set
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8115
Pretty much just the previous mod, but the turrets sit on the ground and look like the ingame buildable turrets.
Atlas Summit Redux
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21961
Adds in a few Enclave themed objects, a short quest, and a player home in the Glowing Sea.
Atom's Greatness
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19857
Allows you to build the church sets from the base game. Mostly structural, but includes a bit of furniture found in the churches.
Blood, Rust & Bones
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11244
Adds many raider-themed building options; some found in the vanilla game, some not.
Bob's Iguana Diner
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19133
Adds diner sets to the game, including furniture, structures, and snappable objects like doors.
Box Houses
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17160
Adds cargo containers that can be entered and opened. You can use them as shelter, or use them as actual shipping containers for decoration since (static) trains are included as well.
The Cabin in the Woods
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15938
Adds a log cabin structure building set. Includes foundations, decorations, furniture, and everything else found in structure sets.
Colored Workshop Lights
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7075
Adds multiple types of lights with 8 different colors, and they can be combined to make even more colors.
Craftable Fancy Chandeliers
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25669
Adds buildable versions of the chandeliers seen in the Cabot House.
Craftable Greebles
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15229
Adds a bunch of static vanilla objects that are used solely for decoration.
DDP AIO Standalone
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16707
Includes a bunch of mods from DDProductions83. Read the description and the second screenshot of the mod if you want to know what it includes.
Fallout Faction Flags - Flags of the New World
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10708
Adds flags (wall decorations, not flagpoles) from every major and nearly every minor faction from every (canon) Fallout game, including 76.
Flyable Personal Vertibird
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47187
Lets you build (and fly, but who cares about that?) working Vertibirds that are controlled by AI and can either stay landed or patrol your settlement. Great for military-themed builds.
Just Debris - Craftable Decoration
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21359
Adds buildable debris, strewn papers, destroyed robots, rubble piles, etc. Requires Place Everywhere and some objects may become removable only by the console once placed in workshop.
Lore-Friendly Flag Pack
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6253
Adds flags with interesting designs on them to the game as wall decorations (no flagpoles). Some of them are vertical, and some are a bit odd.
Pipe Galore
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10845
Adds buildable versions of the large pipes in-game that you can walk through and open with doors. You can make mazes out of the pipes, build inside them for squatter settlements, or solely use them for decorations in industrial builds.
Placeable Grass and Dirt
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8855
Adds placeable grass and dirt mounds/hills to the workshop menu. Useful in gardens/overgrown builds.
Settlement Objects Expansion Pack
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10075
Another great pack for settlement objects. Adds in decor custom to the mod or from various themed locations from the game. Tons of new lighting options, generator options, decorations, clocks, furniture, flora, and large structures like Ferris wheels and prewar houses.
Simply Modular Housing
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15108
Adds all the pieces you need to build a house from the ground up. Includes multiple styles, most of them being renovated/pre-war style.
Snappy Housekit
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11639
Probably the best settlement object mod for larger builds. Adds buildable walls, floors, stairs, greebles, furniture, and decor from every major building preset found in the game, from residential apartment blocks to pieces of the lobbies inside of the high-tech towers downtown.
Stairs Ladders Ramps
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10495
Adds many of the vanilla game's unused stairs, ladders, ramps, and railings. Most importantly, it includes a ladder than you can use to go up and down.
Vertibird Landing Pads
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/34340
Adds buildable landing pads for Vertibirds. Works well with the Flyable Personal Vertibird mod.
Wasteland Billboards
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12017
Adds many of the vanilla billboards and new types of billboards to the crafting menu. They have some wear on them, but the pieces are intact.
Wooden Prefabs Extended
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10140
Adds new prefabs to the Wooden Prefabs menu, and also improves the structures that wooden prefabs have.
Helpful Mods
Constructable Guards
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21928
Name says what it does. You can build faction based guards who will stand stationary wherever placed. They cost caps depending on their gear and will count towards food, water, and bed consumption.
Fallout 76 C.A.M.P.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32772
Alternative to Mobile Workshop, less buggy and more lore friendly. C.A.M.P.s are craftable at Chemistry workbenches. Helpful for building past settlement height limits; just place at the top of a structure and keep building.
Move That Workbench
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7507
Allows you to pick up and move the workbench for a settlement. Useful if it is in an inconvenient or inaccessible place. Moving the bench will not move the settlement borders in named settlements.
NorthlandDiggers Resources
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9710
New resource collecting benches for settlers, farm animals, and craftable plants. Very immersive and good for putting unassigned settlers to use. Also useful for collecting resources for bigger builds passively.
Placeable NPCs
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5768
Allows you to place multiple types of NPCs, ranging from human settlers to animals and creatures. They can be built either passive or aggressive, but the passive NPCs are usually the only useful kind. The settler NPCs are the only ones that can be assigned to settlement objects.
Settlement Objects Unlocked
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18176
Allows you to build any object immediately after starting a new game like artillery, Vault-Tec Workshop items, Mama Murphy's chair, or Automatron items. Includes objects that you can't build after a certain point (like the molecular relay).
Snappable Junk Fences
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9000
Makes the vanilla junk fences snap to each other, just like other types of fences. Very useful for building perimeters out of junk fences.
Vanilla Extensions
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10032
Improves the snapping of vanilla structures and adds some new partial structure pieces.
~~~~~Small Builds~~~~~
New Settlement Objects
Advanced Bubble Turret Set
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11189
25 new bubble turret types you can build. Some may or may not be really overpowered. Adds versions that you can place on ceilings, walls, and floors.

Armorsmith Extended
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2228
Requires AWCKR. Adds a huge amount of armors and armor modifications that you can put on your settlers. One of the best mods for roleplaying clothing.

Art Gallery
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8150
Makes every painting in the vanilla game buildable.

Atlas Summit Redux
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21961
Adds in a few Enclave themed objects and adds a short quest and player home in the Glowing Sea.

Basement Living
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10967
Allows you to build bunkers and basements in your settlements. You place down the entrance in your settlement, then the interior of the bunker works as an unmarked settlement. You can build down there but none of the resources carry over to the settlement and you can't move settlers down there the default way.

Buildable Burning Campfires and Fireplaces
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8122
Adds the ingame campfires and fireplaces to the build menu. All of these options are lit and cannot be turned off.

Buildable Power Armor Frames
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6698
Allows you to both scrap and build new power armor frames.

Business Settlements
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6226
Adds banners, signs, and advertisements for settlement shops and roleplay shops. Many of the decorations can also be used in personal builds.

Colored Workshop Lights
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7075
Adds multiple types of lights with 8 different colors, and they can be combined to make even more colors.

Compact Crafting
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18264
Adds much smaller versions of all of the crafting bench types in the base game, including power armor stations. Does not include the robot workshop.

Craftable Fancy Chandeliers
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25669
Adds buildable versions of the chandeliers seen in the Cabot House.

Craftable Taxidermied Creatures
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9271
Adds many animals, creatures, humans, and humanoids as craftable taxidermy statues. Useful for decoration, props, or targets.

Eli's Craftable Flower Pots
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8011
Adds the potted flowers found in greenhouses to the build menu.

Greebles and Decorations
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16430
Similar to the Craftable Greebles mod, but many of the objects are much smaller than the ones found in that mod. Most of the objects are from Far Harbor.

Homemaker - Expanded Settlements
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1478
Adds an absolutely massive [1000] amount of objects from the vanilla game to the workshop. Many of them are also usable, such as furniture and terminals. Due to only using the ingame assets, the file size is also relatively small for such a large mod.

NorthlandDiggers Resources
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9710
New resource collecting benches for settlers, farm animals, and craftable plants. Very immersive and good for putting unassigned settlers to use.

Old World Plaids
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10769
Adds new furniture designs with post-war damage on them. Many of these designs are quite eccentric, but some of them look very nice for interiors.

OSHA Unapproved - Safety Signage
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7884
Adds multiple signs that can be used for construction-themed areas, or for interesting wall decor.

Placeable Grass and Dirt
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8855
Adds placeable grass and dirt mounds/hills to the workshop menu. Useful in gardens/overgrown builds. Makes creating farms on uneven terrain less of a pain.

Renovated Furniture
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9463
Adds over 350 modern furniture pieces without the wear and tear of nuclear radiation. May not be very lore-friendly for most builds, but renovated builds work perfectly with this mod.

Settlement Supplies Expanded
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1145
Adds vanilla objects into the workshop. The Homemaker mod has everything included with this mod and more, so it is better to just install that mod instead, but this mod also has a less crowded workshop interface.

Thematical and Practical
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16207
Adds different object and decoration sets for different roleplaying lifestyles. Currently includes Brotherhood, Trading Emporium, and Scavenger sets.

Weaponsmith Extended
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10737
Adds a BUNCH of new weapons and modifications to the game. Takes multiple gigabytes, so only use if you want to have new weapon types to give your settlers or hang on walls. You can also install each weapon mod individually if you only want some of them.

Working Food Planters
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1490
Adds food planters for each of the growable food types that can be placed anywhere; not just on dirt. The planters all come in one size, but with other mods such as PlaceAnywhere, you can adjust the scale.
Settlement Mechanics
Additional Shop and Guard Position Variants
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4027
Adds rugs that can be assigned to settlers for shop or guard roles. Only 3 of the 5 shop types are available, however, and the rugs are still visible.

Advanced Settlement Power
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11165
Adds many new logic gates to the power system. Only use if you have a good grasp of how logic gates work.

Auto Doors
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8457
Adds multiple functions to doors, such as auto-close, power transmitters when opened, keycards and locks, gate lockdown doors, and proximity sensors. The mod can be complicated, so do study how it works before trying any of the new electronics.

Better Settlers
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4772
Adds more than 240 unique settler looks to the game. Lore-friendly and useful with the Increased Settler Population mod.

Constructable Guards
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21928
Name says what it does, you can build faction based guards who will stand stationary wherever placed, they cost caps depending on their gear and will count towards food, water, and bed consumption.

G2M - Fish Farm Stuff
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15452
Adds new fishing jobsites that produce food and happiness. Great for settlements that are attached to an ocean.

Immersive Vendors
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10039
Puts clutter in shops, and adds new shop variants for specialization.

Increased Settler Population
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1613
Increases the maximum settler population to one of your choosing. Best when combined with mods that let you build settlers, and mods that make settlers more unique so that they don't all look the same.

Invisible Furniture
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13343
Allows you to place invisible markers where NPCs will do certain actions such as push-ups, dancing, or leaning against walls.

Manufacturing Extended
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15429
Adds many new types of machines to compliment those added by the Wasteland Workshop DLC. Includes new builder types, conveyor belt types, and sorting machines.

Moddable Robot Settlers Compilation
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11976
Allows you to mod some of the named robot NPCs like Codsworth and Mr. Goodfeels. Useful with other Automatron expansion mods, some of which can be found in the description of this mod.

NorthlandDiggers Resources
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9710
New resource collecting benches for settlers, farm animals, and craftable plants. Very immersive and good for putting unassigned settlers to use.

Quieter Settlements
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2819
Reduces the noise that objects like generators and water purifiers make. Volumes are adjustable.

Settler Renaming
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2017
Allows you to rename settlers to preset titles with console commands. You cannot give them custom names, but many roles that you would need inside your settlement are included, as well as some solely roleplay ones.

We Are The Minutemen
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6443
Makes the Minutemen much stronger by having them gain better gear as you ally with more settlements. Great for Minutemen-centered builds, since this mod includes a Minuteman control station and the ability to build many types of Minutemen outfits and armor.
Detailing
Armor Tables
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14986
Adds tables and displays where you can show off armor items and clothing pieces.

Better Vendor Stalls
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9758
Adds clutter to vendor stalls, and also moves the sign from the top to the bottom of the stall so that they fit under a roof.

Clothing Shelves
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14794
Adds shelves that you can put clothes on to display them. Really only useful for clothing shops, as these are not like normal dressers.

Craftable Greebles
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15229
Adds a bunch of static vanilla objects that are used solely for decoration.

Crafting Fury 9000 GTX
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10758
Adds craftable armor stands, decoration collections, and furniture with clutter inside it. The objects on the displays cannot be changed, but they tend to stay within certain themes. Best if you don't care too much about what exactly is featured as clutter, but you want to liven up a space.

Filled Diner Counters and Buffet Counters
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16107
Adds diner counters and buffet counters that have cooking equipment and food in them respectively. These are static and cannot be interacted with by you or NPCs.

Filled Weapon Displays
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16552
Adds weapon displays that have weapons already in them. The weapons cannot be removed, and no weapons can be put in them, so they are purely for decorative purposes and for when you'd rather just quickly slap down a weapon rack on the wall instead of filling it with individually spawned and/or customized weapons.

Functional Displays
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5080
Adds better versions of the ingame weapon and armor displays. Not necessary if you already like the ingame displays, but this mod also includes some new types like cabinets that display items.

Just Debris - Craftable Decoration
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21359
Adds buildable debris, strewn papers, destroyed robots, rubble piles, etc. Requires Place Everywhere and some objects may become removable only by the console once placed in workshop.

Living Interior
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10244
Adds decorated furniture such as coat racks and bookshelves. Similar to the aforementioned Crafting Fury 9000 GTX mod, but with different options.

NorthlandDiggers Resources
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9710
New resource collecting benches for settlers, farm animals, and craftable plants. Very immersive and good for putting unassigned settlers to use.

OCDecorator
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4270
Adds every single junk object in the game and some other objects like ammunition as static, buildable objects. Great for when you want to add clutter to any kind of area, but do note that the objects with this mod cannot be picked up; they are treated as any other buildable.

Rename Anything
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22105
Yup. Allows you to rename anything to whatever you want. Obviously, this only applies to objects that show a name when you hover over them, but you can also rename NPCs to whatever you want.

Starlight Drive-In and Diner - Lighting
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10089
Gives all of the diners in the game lighting on the signs. Works with Bob's Iguana Diner mod.

Unique NPCs - An Overhaul of the Commonwealth
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21248
An absolutely MASSIVE mod (6.3gb). Adds a bunch of new faces and looks to NPCs all over the game. Only use if you want to not be bored out of your mind when looking at your settlers.

Warehouse Kit
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42715
Adds pallets and a few warehouse shelves with clutter stacked on them. Works for warehouse and storage areas.

Wasteland Imports
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3793
Adds many objects from previous Fallout games. Many objects are only found naturally, so you cannot build them, but you can spawn them in with console commands and place them as loose objects.
~~~~~New settlements/Overhauls~~~~~
New Settlements
Atlas Summit Redux
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21961
Adds in a few Enclave themed objects, a short quest, and a player home in the Glowing Sea.
Conquest
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12511
Allows you to build campsites which can be upgraded to settlement workbenches. You can make up to 10 new named settlements which fully function like regular settlements.
Dauntless
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14829
Adds a submarine player home which can be docked outside multiple settlements and allows for travel between Far Harbor and the Commonwealth. It will be parked near Longfellow's cabin. Not really a settlement, but it looks cool outside settlements and works well for transporting resources between settlements before getting supply lines.
Fallout 76 C.A.M.P.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32772
Alternative to Mobile Workshop, less buggy and more lore-friendly. C.A.M.P.s are craftable at Chemistry workbenches.
Far Harbor (Settlement)
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/41281
Turns Far Harbor into an fully functional settlement. You can set up supply lines, send companions and settlers there, and produce resources.
The Last Instance
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/52064
Adds a small cargo ship far out in the water as a functional settlement, it has a separated interior and exterior settlement.
Mobile Workshop
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43493
Allows you to build absolutely anywhere. Somewhat buggy, and can break the game very easily, so use at your own risk.
Overhauls
The Castle Revamped
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17400
Alternative to Castle Walls Restored, does largely the same thing but with a different grass texture, and makes the buildable area larger. What prevents it from being my favorite are the trees added to the Southern entrance.
Castle Walls Restored
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24703
One of the many Castle wall mods but my personal favorite, as it removes the rubble, opens new tunnels, and adds green grass in the courtyard and on the walls.
Far Harbor (Settlement)
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/41281
Turns Far Harbor into an fully functional settlement. You can set up supply lines, send companions and settlers there, and produce resources.
Mechanist Lair Overhaul
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23294
Fixes up the Mechanist lair to be a worthwhile settlement. It removes water, fixes broken walls and floors, and allows for building and scrapping throughout the entire facility rather than the main room exclusively.
Repairable Sanctuary
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8610
Allows you to repair the houses and bridge in Sanctuary to the way they were pre-war. Great if you want to keep Sanctuary as a neighborhood settlement, but doesn't help if you plan on clearing it out completely to use the land for other uses.
Sim Settlements 2
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47976
A complete change to the settlement system, making it pretty much a DLC of its own. There is a storyline, voiced NPCs, and massive changes to how settlements operate. Only use after you've read the description and watched videos to see if you really want to play it.
