Caucasus Free Flight Missions for the F/A-26B

Description
Presented here is a 2:5 scale approximation of the western Caucasus region of Europe.

Despite a relative peace in western society following the cold war, the Caucasus remains a politically volatile region to the present day. The focal point of this map is the post-soviet state of Georgia.

Georgia is a nation that has faced significant hardship following the collapse of the Soviet Union. As recently as 2008 Georgia has found itself on the wrong end of a military conflict against it's powerful northern neighbour, Russia - whose interests pertain to the partially recognized Russian-satellite states of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, located within Georgia's northern border. To the south the nations of Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan are embroiled in their own geopolitical squabbles, with the latter two fighting a war against each other as recently as 2020 - even Russia itself is not spared hardship in this region, as to the Northeast the infamous Chechen Wars raged in the 1990's.

At present, Georgia finds itself aspirant for NATO membership. Time will tell what ramifications this course of action will have over the region...

This Campaign set contains 6 Free Flight scenarios for the F/A-26B starting from Tiblisi, Krasnodar, Senaki-Kolkhi and a Black Sea Carrier, with the latter two offering a combat scenario for the map.

Please note that due to stability issues, map detailing - most notably road networks especially north of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range, has been kept to a reasonable minimum. Also note that whilst the map is 2:5 scale horizontally, true 1:1 scale has been maintained vertically, therefore mountains and ridges will seem exaggerated.
