Vanilla Style Pack - Modern Trolleybuses

Description
This is a pack of vanilla style trolleybuses. They were made to replace stock vanilla buses and to blend with other vanilla vehicles. All the buses wear a uniform livery, and are not line colour conforming. However, they have line markings at the front and back ends, which do change colours with the line.

The pack is based on vanilla trolleybus bus, although slightly modified. All the buses in this pack share a single 1024x512 texture, so the pack will benefit from Loading Screen Mod.

Passenger capacity is at about x1.66 vanilla bus capacity, which means that a trolleybus of similar length as vanilla bus will have a capacity of 50 passengers. Other stats like acceleration, braking and turning speed follow a single rule of thumb - the bigger the bus is, the slower it gets.

The pack consists of 3 vehicles:

- Trolleybus (capacity: 60)
- Articulated Trolleybus (capacity: 95)
- Double Articulated Trolleybus (capacity: 125)

All vehicles are downloaded in a single workshop item, but you can disable the ones you don't like from content manager.

Prop version is available here.

@Boopis ive got two sets of metros ready (old and contemporary) and 3rd one WIP (modern), and about 8 sets of trains (old and contemporary) with about 5 more coming. Hoever, Im unable to uplaod them, as I've got some problems with Steam which make me unable to upload or update assets. I'm waiting for Steam to update the client.

I was going to ask about metros being a possibility, but the third to last pic looks like youve already got something in the works, is it anywhere near completion?

I'll look into it, but afaik buses, trolleybuses and trams can't have interior lights. Trains and metros do

Yo! Really great work with all of your vanilla style vehicles! They're now a must have for my cities.

Just out of curiosity, I noticed that the vehicles don't have working interior lights. Any chance we're getting updated versions for night use?

After looking into different trolleybus designs I completely understand your struggle. So I created a couple examples that might help! Link: https://imgur.com/a/kEMcADX
Hopefully this can help you!

Ah, too bad it can't be shared. But thanks for the answer!

@LittleBiGLesbian so far I've come up with something like this - https://imgur.com/a/RpBT5Uf and Im not really sure if I like it or not.
I like the dipping roof of VDL Citea, but it's to no help with trolleybuses, as trolleybuses need longer poles to work efficeintly. So if they were placed at the very end, they'd neet to overhang quite far behind the bus. And C:S won't like it.

@Cydonian Mystery Depends. The 4 lanes one with red bus lanes is a vanilla road with ITP markings and TMPE restrictions. But the smaller avenue with tiny green strip in the middle is a custom one made by me. I cant share it unfortunately, becasue it's based on someone elses' road.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but are those custom roads in your screenshots, or just IMT?
LittleBigLesbian 31 Jul, 2021 @ 1:47pm
True, but I personally think that's why they'd work so well. I think a nice way to do it might be something simelar to the electric VDL Citea, which have a small section on the rear that dips down a bit compared to the rest of the roof. Which I think would make the most sense, but maybe you'll come up with something nicer. Either way I trust that whatever it is you create next will be wonderful! :)
