Drakan: The Ancients' Gates is an action-adventure game with role-playing elements by Surreal Software, released for PlayStation 2 in 2002. It is the sequel to the 1999 PC game Drakan: Order of the Flame.

Rynn is a main character in the Drakan series. She is a tall, attractive, athletic, young woman who is also a very capable warrior, belying her appearance. She is a skilled swordswoman, archer, and can even practice a wide variety of magic when the need rises. She hails from a small village, where her skills are renowned.

Most of Rynn's family is dead. Her only relative is her younger brother, Delon.

When her village is destroyed and her brother captured by wartoks, she goes on a quest that brings her into contact with Arokh the dragon. The two companions set out on a grand adventure that changes the world forever.
