Bow Visor and Ramp MK1-S

Description
Easy to Install Bow Visor and Ramp
Reliable and Safe
Designed for use as a ferry ramp

The design of the ramp was inspired by local calmac ferries and technical documents I found on the internet. It best works with ships with high free board decks and rounder bows.It only uses pistons to move for added realism and fun.
Refer to the examples for help. Please comment any issues, suggestions or questions for either the actual build or this description.Feel free to use the part as you wish. This description is still WIP

There are two versions:
MK1-S Skeletal, just the mechanism and some building guide blocks.
MK1-B Basic, full example bow

Features

-Two watertight seals
-Interlock system that only allows controls to be used in a certain order to prevent mis-operation
-No powered pivots everything is driven by pistons
-Composite tie in for ramp control from a seat/radio
-Separate sensors for closed and open (Just the MLOCK however)
-Ramp Midsection can be moved independently for extra flexiblity

Mounting

  1. Pick where to put it (make sure electric connectors don't stick out of hull) it should be as far forward as possible
  2. Use select tool to take the hull section that will move
  3. Use select tool to move things out the way (generator's,anchors, bridges, etc)
  4. Delete until there is no red
  5. Save and make sure it is where you want to put it before pasting
  6. Take bottom half of the hull piece you pulled out earlier and put in place, put the top half (the deck and tiny bit of hull) in line with the new deck(if there is a gap put it a bit forward to give yourself room to fill it in with wedges)
  7. Full everything in and install everything you pulled out and controls

-Mounting it higher makes it easier to load vehicles from docks
-Mounting it lower makes it easier to load vehicles from ground
-A lot of blocks can be shaved off the skeletal version on the front,as long as the moving parts(sub body's) and electric connectors are left alone.
-Logic can be moved with select tool
-The pipes at the front bottom are decoration
-Unpowered parts should be left unpowered
-Connect power to pistons (there's some relays and sub circuits but the pistons are definitely safe to connect to)

Mounting Video is coming with MK2 (Soon-ish (Progress is going well))

Known Issues
-The small flap which coves the hinges at the base of the ramp occasionally can glitch into the ramp causing it to damage itself this is rare but lifting it manually before closing fixes this

-Sometimes the ramp and visor jam ,just wait around a bit till stormworks decide's to work

-The Sealock alignment can jam just wiggle the visor up and down / try the button a few times till it does

Will fix these problems and any reported ones in V2 currently working on

Instructions
Notes
Sealock - Locks/Unlocks the custom door on the bow visor
Sealock Align - Pushes the bow visor forward to prevent jamming at the top of the custom door (breaks visor/bow seal)
MLOCK - Locks bow visor mechanically when it's either fully up or down

Bow visor can only be controlled when the ramp is locked and sealed
Ramp can only be used when visor is fully up and MLOCK engaged
If something jams give it a wiggle

Touch sensor's used for MLOCK break (Both red and green Indicators will be off) on vehicle reloading use MLOCK reset found between the visor pivots in the floor hatch to fix this

Even when it says the Bow is fully open it can still open further so wait until it has stopped moving

I was on the 1st of July on the MV Loch Shira and MV Loch Riddon; Largs - Cumbrae. I see the inspiration!

Which Calmac ferry mainly inspired your design?
