The MFS Expeditionary Drop Base
IFF ID: (EDB)





The Expeditionary Drop Base (EDB) is a Modular Freight System (MFS) compatible module, designed for use with the Atlas Modular Cargo Lifter. An all-in-one habitat, refinery, manufactory, and landing pad, the EDB was devised to rapidly deliver engineering teams and their support gear to new mining claims. Although intended to be packed up and airlifted out when no longer needed, it is not uncommon for EDB modules to end up permanently integrated into whatever facility the accompanying site engineers ultimately construct. With most internal living areas sharing their open volume with heavy equipment, EDB's tend to be hot, cramped, smelly, and loud. However, for the many EHI engineers that find themselves on strange unexplored new worlds, they are home.

  • Survival Ready.
  • Compatible with all Modular Freight System (MFS) style cargo pods.
  • Can operate with little or no uranium supply.
  • Nearly all critical equipment is internally accessible for easy maintenance.
  • A projector is installed to assist with repairs.
  • Dorsal landing pad for small craft.
  • Parachute system and landing gear allow C-Pod LG to be air-dropped.
  • Pod can be de and re-attached either by finding its corresponding timers via the menu, or via physical control panels placed next to the corresponding connection point.
  • The connecting end painted blue is fore, the connecting end painted red is aft (This makes no functional difference for this module.)

Yes this has a survival kit onboard. I just started a new job in a new city, but when things settle down I'll see about how to make this into a spawn ship.

Good eye, I deleted that item since this version has mag plates now. Deleting the old comment. In the middle of moving to a new place, but will continue with updates as things settle.
