Description
The Skata is a fictional tiltrotor SAR- and transport aircraft. In neutral winds and conditions it can cruise at 54 knots in helicopter mode and 180 knots in airplane mode. It comes equipped with two harnesses for crew use and four harnesses for rescue operations.

With the four winches at the bottom of the fuselage it is able to lift and transport containers, fuel tanks and smaller ships.

The aircraft uses a Swedish Armed Forces livery.

The build features microcontrollers made by other creators:
- MrNJersey's Navigation Waypoint Autopilot system
- MrNJersey's gimballed camera controller from his Rescue Huey build
- kyaace's Radio Beacon Location via Multilateration controller
- Belisarious' Helicopter Position Hold controller

The door guns has the initial release been removed to lower the number of physics bodies for the sake of framerate as well for the sake of interior space. I haven't updated the screenshots to reflect that change, sorry about that.

I don't know what that means. What steps did you take for the engines to break?

I've had an issue where the engines break when I activate the autopilot or altitude hold. Can it be fixed at some point please?

Good news everyone. I have released an extended version over here ( https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2641301934 ) which features carts and disconnected weapons and fuel tanks so you can add and remove weapons to the hardpoints to your heart's content. It also features a fully functional fuel truck, carrying 18000 liters of diesel, all so you can your friends can together play as a ground crew between missions.

In addition I have updated the default loadout of the aircraft. It now features 1x nose-mounted cannon (as usual), 2x rockets pods and 4x radar-guided missiles. Firing and hitting flying targets is an art, but against surface targets they have a pretty good hit ratio.

As of now the default loadout are 4 rocket pods (and two external fuel tanks and a cannon) and I don't have any intentions to change that right now. If you have a missile design yourself that you want to add it's as simple as to delete the weapon of choice from the hardpoint and attach your own. If the missile works it can then be fired as easily as the default weapons.

Awesome, not to sound spoiled but do you think you could add some already attached? It would be nice to have them already equipped

Yes, as long as the weapon is mounted on the hardpoints, have the correct weapon type number and do not extend beyond the wing's front tip they can be selected and fired via the weapon computer.
