Description
!!! This mod is an add-on for the Vash'Knaaren Race and XS Mechs - Vehicle Edition and requires these mods for full functionality. !!!

!!! A game-crashing bug with Shellguard mod caused by entering a Shellguard outpost seems to be fixed. But if you still have this issue, try to make a new character and enter a Shellguard outpost with it. After doing so, the glitch should fix itself for your main save too. Don't even ask me why this is like that. If you still have this issue, look up to "Bug reports here" discussion at the bottom of the page, maybe you can find something helpful there. !!!

What's new:
1) Fixed incompatibility with vanilla Beam and Solus Katana mech arms
2) Added new weaponry
3) Existing weaponry is rebalanced
4) New sound for Tar'Khalis' firebreath (no longer blasts your eardrums & more pleasing overall)
5) Fixed another sound issue with Tar'Khalis mech being persistant flamethrower sound after firing

The Vash'Knaaren are a race that uses organic technology to transform biological energy for work. Until recently, they were perceived by the Protectorate as barbarians, but when the troops tried to capture one of their cities, no one expected what would happen next...

Considered a primitive race, they unleashed such a terrifying force on the the nearby Protectorate colonies that the defenses were slaughtered almost instantly. No one had the slightest idea how to deal with such a biomorphic weapon of these mysterious aliens. Humanity's war with Vash'Knaaren has begun...


At the moment, this mod adds new types of organic alien weapons and two mechs used by this race in a war campaigns. Currently, weapons and 'Mechs can be purchased from Penguin Pete's shop in the Outpost.



The mod includes:

- Alien Crystal Sniper is a sniper weapon that shoots crystals at tremendous acceleration.

- Alien Spread Cannon - Heavy version of Alien Spread Rifle. Fires more projectiles, but expends more energy.

- Alien Flak Gun - A very powerful anti-aircraft cannon that fires piercing crystal projectiles with a gigantic rate of fire. Energy costs are incredibly low.

- Alien Hive - This strange weapon can breed and launch many battle critters into a fight. Click LMB fires 3 Hivelings, charge LMB places three Hiveling sentries, click RMB fires a Hive Biter egg and charge RMB fires a cluster grenade with Hive Biter eggs.

- Alien Swarmer - A powerful one-handed missile launcher. Fires a swarm of homing projectiles.

- Devourer Cannon - A tentacle-type weapon of Vash'Knaaren. Launches a clawed tendrils at the target.

- Vash'Knaaren Sword - A simple weapon of an alien guardians.

- Vash'Knaaren Heavy Sword - A slower, but more hard-hitting version of an alien standard guardian weapon.

- Alien Halberd - An elite guardian weapon of Vash'Knaaren. Launches a spread of plasma projectiles on a last combo hit.

- Crystal Crusher - A hammer made from unstable energy crystal. Fires a crystal shards on each swing.

- Alien Heavy Cleaver - A majestic weapon of an elite Vash'Knaaren warriors. This giant blade empowers itself with each swing in combo attack.

- Flamerworm - A hybrid of a melee and ranged weapon. Inflicts a powerful bites in point-blank, shoots a streams of burning acid and hurls an incendary grenades.

- Heavy Flamerworm - A standard Flamerworm's big brother. Acid attack empowers with each strike in combo. In alt-fire mode this weapon flies on its own, guided by the player, and burns and bites everything that comes in contact.

- Va'Ralumn Light Battletank - not so big, but very sturdy alien tank. Uses two Spread Cannons as a main weaponry and is capable of performing a dash, destroying obstacles and damaging targets in its path.

- Tar'Khalis Superheavy Artillery Platform - colossal mechanoid of immense destructive power. It is the most powerful fire support unit of the aliens. Its main attack is 4 artillery turrets that fire explosive fragmentation charges that bombard the ground. An additional attack - fire from the mouth, clearing the path and incinerating enemies near. But the most powerful weapon of this mech is a giant artillery cannon that shoots overloaded beams, which, when hitting an obstacle, can split into additional beams, causing destruction over a huge territory.

I don't know if you still make mods or whatever, or if you update... but man. This is wild. Just when I thought the vehicles weren't too too crazy, I fired the giant canon and blew up a large portion of the map in front of my face.

My only criticisms: Please, please, please racially lock these or upload a patch or alternative mod that does so. Ideally they'd be behind a racially locked mission, but I understand that's a lot to ask. But I cannot use these for multiplayer because they're way too insane for each player to have access to at Pete's for just pixels. Other than that, I wish the weapons would all show up in the weapons tab rather than some showing up in the utilities tab. I believe that's a limitation of the way they were created, but it's still a bit off-putting.

The artillery Mecha is quite awesome. It even outsizes the XS-Z-01 Tau! But I still love the Tau for its awesome siege beam transformation.

@itskalis i get the same error i want to se how to get some of the mechs/ weaponry but as soon as i hover over it i just crash (same exact error)

How do you use the main cannon on the artillery platform? I can use the smaller guns and the fire breath, but not the main gun.
