Description
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I don't want to have to delete comments, but please hold back from making extremely obvious 9/11 jokes, making fun of Americans, or trying to 'redpill' people on 9/11 conspiracy theories. I assure you, the Steam Community is not the most refined place of discussion for these topics.

Quote: "The World Trade Center is a living symbol of man's dedication to world peace... a representation of man's belief in humanity, his need for individual dignity, his beliefs in the cooperation of men, and, through cooperation, his ability to find greatness." -Minoru Yamasaki

The World Trade Center was a complex of buildings in New York City, that are currently being replaced with new structures after the originals were destroyed. The original World Trade Center featured landmark twin towers, which opened on April 4, 1973, and were destroyed in the September 11th terrorist attacks of 2001, along with 7 World Trade Center. The other buildings in the complex were severely damaged by the collapse of the twin towers, and their ruins were eventually demolished. The original World Trade Center was thought of as a North American cultural icon, and at the time of their completion, the "Twin Towers", the original 1 World Trade Center (the North Tower), at 417 meters (1,368 ft), and 2 World Trade Center (the South Tower), were the tallest buildings in the world. The other buildings in the complex included the Marriott World Trade Center (3 WTC), 4 WTC, 5 WTC, 6 WTC, and 7 WTC. All of these buildings were built between 1975 and 1985, with a construction cost of $400 million. The complex was located in New York City's Financial District and contained 13.4 million square feet (1.24 million m2) of office space.

@Edgewalker Yes, because when part of that conspicuousness involves holding the title of "World's Tallest Building" at some point in its existence, in a world with tens of millions of buildings, if not over a billion, it's safe to call it a wonder.

Yeah, I joke about that too, but we also have to have a minimum bit of respect

This is really awesome. Now I can play my favorite Civilization game while also paying a small amount of homage to my countrymen we lost that day. Thank you for creating this.

Shouldn't it be at globalisation or some later tech than electronics (modern era) since it was built during the 60/70s?

Finding a tasteful and fleshed out version of this concept? I'll bite, favorite and subscribe.
