[BNC] No More Modded Classes Town Events

Hello !

This mod is an unoficial continuation of AceEquinox's "No More Modded Recruit Events" that can be found here :

Ever wanted to play a highly modded campaign but all the town events you kept seeing for a hundred weeks were only new recruits and idle resolve ? Wanted to see the other more impactful vanilla and modded town events ? Feels like getting random heroes from the Stage Coach is enough recruits ? Now it's settled, because no modded heroes will ever present themselve to the Hamlet via town events...

This mod goal remain the same, removing hundreds of events to make the experience a little bit smoother.

Here what the mod does :

• Cut the First Recruit town event, those had high priority and high chance of happening to make sure you get to unlock your freshly installed modded hero class on the next week.

• Cut Bonus Recruit town event, those are events that occurs randomly over the weeks, they have low chances but still represent a huge amount of modded town events, and after a couple dozen weeks you don't really need low level recruits anymore.

• Cut Idle Resolve town event, same as Bonus Recruit, they are a ton of them and they have a very low impact if you play with a lot of modded classes since only one of the many classes will get to level up. And between us, leveling heroes by actually using them feels much more fun and rewarding !

Other town events like those that buffs the party (For example the Eternal's Restoration) have been kept activated.

Update : Sadly not possible because some events could occur even without the class installed, most likely crashing the game. So the mod remain like the original, with blank town events files.

This mod cover almost the integral of all the class mods present on the Workshop that have at least one of the town events mentionned above, here a few exception i had to make :

• The Witch's Legion by Cabal Psion, the town event is registered as "legion", same as The Legion by Cryptix released recently.

• Most old legacy class that got updated version inluded in this mod, such as The Sepulchre, Resurrected by Cryptix.

• Then some modded classes will only start appearing in the game and Stage Coach after their town event happened, just like the Flagellant in Vanilla, so here a small list of them so far (Let me know if you know more classes with a requirement like that.) :

- Duchess
- Mambo
- Scarecrow
- Rudiment
- Paradox
- Vixen
- Shishiro Botan
- Yama (Unique Hero, can't appears in the Stagecoach at all.)
- Homunculus

Otherwise, from the most famous mods like the Falconer down to other masterpieces like Dild, everything should normally be covered, and i doubt I will make a list of each of them because there over 175+ modded classes that have Recruit and/or Idle Resolve town events.

You can check directly the town events in the mod folder, located in:
→ Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\262060\2534131285\campaign\town_events

If a modded class you use doesn't appear in this mod, that mean they simply don't have any of those town events.
Some modded classes don't have town events at all, like the ones made by Exaelus and ActionJack for example.

For this mod to take effect, simply put it Above modded classes in your load order and you are good to go.

Now let's say you want to cut Recruit/Idle Resolve twon events for most modded classes but want to keep some of your favorite class, well it's easy, put those modded classes Above "But Nobody Came..." in your load order and you'll be sure to get them as recruits !

Mod Compatibility :

This is a very simple mod, so it should be compatible with everything.
It will simply prevent any modded Recruit/Idle Resolve town event from happening, since it's the mod goal. Doesn't alter vanilla or other town events.

This is my first mod upload to the public, i'll try to keep it updated as new modded classes get released.
If i missed any of them or if you still get Recruit/Idle Resolve town events with modded heroes, let me know with which one so I can correct that.

Really? That's strange. I used the "Random Hero Start" mod and the "Disable vanilla Classes mod" to check if the Forsaken could spawn naturally in the first weeks and it wouldn't so i assumed it needed the event...

By "hero.ini" i meant "info.darkest" file, been diving into XCOM lately. :MHRISE_Felyne:

Hello Hominus, i've checked the Forsaken's hero.ini, there is no requirement for him to appear in the stagecoach on the latest version, so no exception needed.

If you've been unlucky with the random batch of stagecoach recruits and want to get one asap you can always put Forsaken above BNC in the load order to get his recruit event on the next in-game week/few weeks.

Also there another 2 nice heroes getting released soon, i'll do the next big BNC update when those will be out. :lunar2020ratinablanket:

Hi Nihil, i'm pretty sure the recent Revived Forsaken class only starts appearing in Stage Coach after their town event happened, could you add an exception if possible? Thanks in advance.

Not sure it matters, but your bowman.town_events.events.json file is blank instead of the normal one. Going through my Patreon only mods to update their events and noticed it.

dude this is great. i dont use many character mods because half the events are character recruits and it screws me over big time
