FPS Benchmark

Description
This is a FPS benchmark map that I quicky made to compare D3D9 and Vulkan. I’ve been asked to publish the map, but please be aware, it is a little but rough around the edges as it was made quickly on the release of Vulkan. The benchmark will last for around 4 minutes and will test physics, particles, reflections, infinite portals, and dynamic lights. At the end, the results will be printed to the console.

Whoa! That was excellent! Didn't loose any textures. In the goo room the fps dropped down to the 20's and in the cube/laser room it dropped into the teens. :steamthumbsup:
BTW, I used +showbudget to see what was happening with the resource usage.

With all the lasers going I lost the wall textures. Saw error floating around. Other than that seemed to run ok.

the part that tanked my PC was the fizzler part at the start not any of the other stuff

looks really nice... my graphics fan kicked in for the smoke and when cubes started to drop in laser room..

I just realised, I had forgot the pack the smoke particle into the map file, I have packed them and updated the map. I haven’t changed any of the laser textures, try validating the local game files: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

i got white things on fire test, and also at lazer test textures was invisible

The complexity of objects rendered is controlled by the shader detail settings. At lower settings portals rendered through portals will appear white. Is this what you saw?
