Description
Welcome to Garden Rivers!

This map is a complete overhaul of the Green Cities DLC-based map, Green Rivers. The vanilla map that came with the DLC is very sub-par in today's standards, so I have re-imagined it to my liking. I hope ya'll enjoy my recreation as much as I did making it!

This map does NOT require any DLC's!

Some Info

This was by far one of the worst-looking maps that Colossal Order released, no offense to them! Just not much effort was put toward making it look nice, just slap on a road with a dodgy-looking mountain for interest and a running river for pumping. Resources were very scarce and dotted around, the terrain was very lumpy bumpy in spots and just not polished at all, like they did it in a rush. So I took the time to remodel EVERYTHING from the ground-up. I kept the original waterfront to help honor the old look, but everything else was redone. I also remade this map a while ago and only just now polished some things and uploaded it, sorry! (I'm in college)
From what I can remember, I do believe I kept the old map connections where they used to be, just had to re-do everything else.

I did recreate this map with my custom theme Tropico. I made that theme for all of my upcoming tropical maps that I will eventually release.

@-jD All reviews should always be taken with salt. That's what a review is, a look back at my experience. I didn't think I'd need to say "Your experience may be different," since that should usually be assumed, but I guess I'll say it for your benefit: my review is reflective of my own opinions and perspectives, which may or may not be the same as yours.

Also, FWIW, @SanditeSpartan117, I love your other remastered maps for the most part--I just think this one in particular is held back too much by the vanilla map it's based on.

@Eresian I am sure like other I will be waiting eagerly for your re-make of the map... This was a remake of a vanilla map, not a map built from scratch. Given your sub-par review of the game, the one for this map should also be taken with a grain of salt by future readers.

This map is decent, but not exceptional. The railroads are... right on the edge of mediocre and terrible, and the river that branches and flows two ways is a gigantic sore spot. But the landscape is quite good and the custom work isn't too intrusive, so the map is usable.

Been playing on this map for a good couple days now, this is your best work yet ! This is an amazing map, great area available for planning 9, 21, or 81 tile players, awesome elevation variation and spread of resources. Love the river and sandy shores, I reclaimed some of it miami style that worked really well.
However,I would strongly recommend to to consider upgrading the main highway to a 4 (or even 5 lane with mods/map editor) lane to better handle the through traffic, since theres only one highway that goes through the 9 tile area.

Like Jazhawk below me says, this map is a MUST play.

@BlazingBullet120 I have already remade that map, just gotta polish it up when I get around to it :hardhat:
I’m going to re-release Mountain Meadows first (my first remaster) because of some issues my fellow compadres are having with the original. It’s not an actual vanilla map, but it will be! Keep an eye out for it!

I LOVE THESE REMASTERED MAPS!!! It would be great to see the Seven Lakes map remade, but you remake whatever maps call to you!
