Functional Ryde Terminal (Airport)

Description

Ryde is a fictional transport company designed to create a generic brand across all of the transport options in the game.
Ryde Airport is the department in charge of the Airports for the Ryde network.

BEFORE YOU SUBSRCIBE
This asset has been created before the Airport DLC was released which I don't own. Therefore I cannot test if the asset still works as intended or make changes to it if it doesn't.

Whats Included?
The Building which is based on the new terminal building at Invercargill Airport[www.google.com], New Zealand, which was completed in 2016. It is used by Air New Zealand for domestic routes and Stewart Island Flights. The design has been somewhat simplified for Cities: Skylines.
The little shed on the left handles cargo which is brought onto the apron through the two gates at the back which are also used for outgoing luggage. The baggage reclaim is on the right side of the building and accessed by the two gates on the right wall

Ingame
This asset can be found in the air transportation tab or by simply by searching for it with the Find It mod. It is intended to be used for smaller custom airports in your city for which the assets of international airports seem too large and out of place. Please keep in mind that its smaller size makes it look somewhat strange next to wide body aircraft (especially the vanilla airliners). I guess you could add passenger boarding bridges if you really wanted to, but the building is not intended for them to be attached somewhere.

This version has functional plane stands where passengers can board and disembark planes. However, you still have to build your own taxiways and runways - use SamsamTS Airport Roads to do this.

Use Find It to search for taxiway and runway. Asset still works well

This does still work if it's connected to the original, non-DLC airport roads. It won't work if zoned as a DLC airport and those runways/taxiways are used.

@Tiar/A, TL;DR: I don't know.

I don't have the DLC (yet), so I couldn't check if it works.
Given that the old vanilla airports work, I could imagine this one does as well if you connect it with a runway. It's propably easiest to try it out and see what happens.
I'm currently quite busy, but hopefull I'll find time for asset creation and C:S agains sonn, then I might have a look into it.

Will this work with the Airport DLC?
ReviLoxilef  [author] 3 Dec, 2021 @ 4:27am
@ vitadome1: It should and we got it work as well when we tested it (see screenshots). However, I found that airplane path finding works in a most peculiar way and sometimes simply won't work...

@nhatanh0475: Because it isn't an requirement to place this asset.

If you add Airplane roads will it actually work?
nhatanh0475 26 Jun, 2021 @ 12:02am
"You need Airport roads to create runways and taxiways. But other than that everything works out of the box"
Then why it isn't listed in the requirement?

This is a passenger terminal, so simply converting it to a cargo terminal would be rather odd. You could always use a cargo plane stand (I guess there are some on the workshop) to get Cargo into you city that way.
