Sampo Print Assemply Kit

Description
This is a print version of the Sampo, with hinges and rotors detached and remerged onto the hull for print on survival. This is not a easy build, and i only recomment it for the experienced. In most cases you are better off just making your own ship. That being said there are few pieces you need to manually build, but its somewhat manageable. If you have guestions, ill try to answer them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Build only if you know what you are doing. This ship has plenty of subgrids to invite clang, which can and WILL consume everything you own. PRAISE CLANG! ALL HAIL CLANG!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Improvements over the original:

- Fixed the crewquarders medbay and o2 tanks not being connected via conveyor.

- Added a stone/gravel ejectors

Build statistics:

- PCU: 67746

- Blocks: 16773

- Cost: I couldnt get any calculation script to work.. If someone finds out the cost, post in on the comments!

- Height and Width: 25 Blocks (Hull is 25 blocks, external hinge pieces are wider but i recomment welding them by hand or a ship instead)

- Lenght: 81 Blocks

---------------Building the hull---------------

There are many ways you can build a projected ship, however considering how large and simple shaped this one is, i recomment a rotating welder head with a piston mechanism moving the projector and the ship outwards. However you do it, i recomment starting from the back and moving to the front. Most of the ship should be build fine, but there are pieces you will have to weld manually. Especially catwalk stairs seem to have issues. You can see the completed block count on the projector, and see if theres something missing.

---------------Attaching hinges---------------

While these should be pretty selfexplanatory, it is highly recommented to plan ahead to avoid clang. I personally lost 2 welder ships during this process, but found that securing the parts to the hull via landing gear while attaching made it clang free for me. All hinge mechanisms are in open position in this blueprint.

---------------Thruster Hinges---------------

As for these pieces, theres a red timer block attached to the pieces. Once you connect the hinge, trigger the timer and this will lock the connector and landing gear in proper settings.

----------------Bore Head---------------

This piece requires the most manual labor in block placement. First build 5 more pistons on front of the first one, and make them identical in both name and settings. You will also have to group the 5 pistons to the same group as the first.

Next you will have to build the main rotor. Build it onto the last piston and grind the head off. Theres a lcd panel with the info you need for this one, including the name. Remember to turn it off. Now you can assemple and attach the bore head. After these are attached, group the rotor you build with the secondary bore rotor. The existing group name should be "bore rotors".

---------------piston cover---------------

This piece is purely decorational. However if you wish to build it, there is a lcd info panel next to the piston shaft. Theres also pictures here. The original lenght of this cover is 17. The attachment point is at the back of the 5th piston.

---------------Space Hangar connector---------------

Simple, just rebuild the connector setup onto the hinge acordingly.

----------------------------------------------------------------

After you have constructed everything, check for missing interior pieces from sensors to lights etc etc. Note also that all the jump drives have their recharge off by default on this blueprint, make sure your powersupply can keep up if you enable them.
