Description

After the stroll in the hectic and glamourous Milanese cityscape it is time to take a deep breath and have a relaxing boat trip across the Amalfi coast to enjoy its beautiful natural scenery and its picturesque little towns...

Maybe lesser known compared to the other Italian maritime republics of Pisa, Genoa, and Venice, Amalfi had the indisputable merit of being the first of its kind. Founded in 339 AD by the Romans, Amalfi had been under Byzantine influence until 839 when Sicard, Lombard prince of Benevento, conquered the town. In September 1st 839, the people of Amalfi kicked out the Lombard garrison and declared the birth of an indipendent republic, that turned into a hereditary dukedom in 957.
Amalfi reached the peak of its splendor in the 10th and 11th centuries, especially under Manso I de Musco Comite, who ruled the town and its dominions from 966 until his death in 1005. Amalfitan merchants sailed across all the Mediterranean and established fondaci and colonies in important capitals like Costantinople, Alexandria, Cairo, Tunis, Palermo.
To Amalfi is owed the perfection and introduction of the Arab compass in Europe in the 13th century as well as the first widespread maritime code, the Tabulæ Amalphitanæ, which for centuries was taken as a model to regulate the maritime trade and the ship crew etiquette.

@Max: once you have set the first fondaco every turn there is a notification on the screen side with a list of established fondaci telling the city and the owner.

Is there a way to check who you have a Fondaco with?

Hey, I play the game with the vox populi mod and i cannot place a fondaco anywhere. It's not greyed out, the button is just not there. Is there a way to fix this bug ? The social policy part of the UA works great though.
Thanks !
