Beryl

Descriere
A coral creature that lives in a barrel, Beryl protects The Reef near the Merchant Docks, using an army of allies to overwhelm any enemies.


+Quick Summary of Gimmick:
-You can use nspecial to set up a house, or pick up a nearby one, then use any attacks to throw it

-Hiting an enemy with a thrown house levels it up
-Overtime a house will generate up to 3 minions, which scale with it's level

-Hitting fspecial or dspecial creates a field around you that makes minions attack and move twice as fast
-Fspecial is a grab that can also grab any houses


+Moves that do weird stuff:

-NAir is like Orcane's nair, hold attack while you're landing to bounce
-Uspecial can be cancelled into pratfall by pressing shield/parry
-Uspecial can bounce on walls, but only one time, the next one ends up going into pratfall!
-You can drift BAir's projectile up and down
-You can drift DAir's projectile to the sides
-You can cancel jab into dspecial like you can with a tilt

It doesnt appear in my modded characters in game, if anyone here knows why, i would very much appreciate the help.

This is SO CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. This feels like an actual base cast member and if they ever decide to make a workshop character pack 2,I think this would be the best water character choice.

I love how gimmicky some of there attacks and how the main mechanic works. Just the concept of a summoner character in a platform fighter amuses me.

The only complaints I have is that the water would look a little bit better if they were a little more brighter imo. And I think the health bars should be resprited to have a more watery theme.

And I also feel like the minions deal too much damage.

With that said outstanding work to you! This will probably be my workshop main once Hodan gets released in the base cast. 10/10 could not recommend this more.

I don't know if this character is tournament legal, but they're absolutely delightful. The only thing I wouldn't mind is if grabbing the house with side-special retained the house, or even threw it at a downwards angle instead of destroying it.

This character has no right being this good. I've never seen a summoner archetype in a platform fighter and I am proud and surprised to say that they are criminally underrepresented.
