I know what you mean about the briefings. I am always struggling myself, not wanting to bore people with pages of briefing but not wanting to miss any important information. It's an art form in itself, and I more than once failed at it :)
If the sniper is being swarmed, it probably means that he started shooting random soldiers (it's tempting considering there are like 50 of em in the base), instead of keeping quiet until the Commander appears.
I suppose to keep it coop friendly, I can make the west side of the base more fortified, giving the diversion team something more to chew on while the sniper scans for Commander.
That and properly identifying Tasks.
Thanks again. This mission is damn near 4 years old, and glad to see it still gets some playtime :)
But really, the mission is fine, it just needs a few adjustments. Replacing the Comanche with an AH-9 could be fun, with the HMG's around that is dangerous waters for the pilot. And most of the issues arose from the briefing not being clear.
Seriously, with a few adjustments there is a good mission in it.
The mission was frankly built too much with single player (as the sniper) in mind. With only a single shot required.
I think I'll fix it and re-release as SP only. Trying to shoehorn a coop experience is not really working.
It has potential for good mission though and thanks for the effort!
The sniper team was wiped out at the very start of the mission, even though Voodoo team was supposed to clear them out. i late saw a group of at least 10-12 men swarm up to their position.
Also, the briefing was unclear. It did not specify were we started, and in fact, we did not know that our team was supposed to be the diversionary attack.
I think with a bit of extra work this can be an awesome mission. I would for example remove the Comanche and replace it with an AH-9. That will force cooperation between the ground and air team. Also, ranged optics for the diversion team would be good, some guys had Colimator optics and could essentially do nothing.
Thanks for sharing it. I enjoyed the rest of the campaign, so far this was the only "weak" spot :)
Sorry you didn't like the campaign. I agree it's difficult, but I feel I gotta point out I got some pretty good returns when I originally released it on Armaholic : http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=21201#comments .
