Description
In vanilla Empire Divided all the barbarian generals and officers wear the same winged helmets and nomadic / hunnic armour. This mods corrects just that. I only used assets from the game and from the respective time period. Tus the changes don't feel too alien to the vanilla game.

Changes

- Britanic and Caledoni generals and officers will wear celtic helmets and chainmail instead of hunnic armour and nomadic helmets.

- Saxoni and Marcomani will wear germanic helmets and chainmail instead of hunnic armour and nomadic
or lamellar helmets.

- Gothi will wear no hunnic armour, lamellar or winged helmets, but they will wear some nomadic elements, as they are close to Alani and some cultural exchange could have happened.

Only generals wearing winged helmets will be the Gothi leader and 3 Caledoni generals. I left them some wings to keep the continuity with TW:Attila's Picti leader.

- Units such as Saxoni Noble Cav, Gothic Night Riders, Grethungi Noble Cav, Grethungi Elite Spears, Celtic Nobles and Caledoni Heroic Riders, were edited so they wear no lamellar helmets or hunnic armour.

Bugs and miss outs

- If by any chance you see a general in a T-pose or some texture clipping on armour, helmets or tunics, please describe it in the commet section and tell me what faction does the bug appear for.

- Also, if you notice any unit wearing the hunnic armour or lamellar helmets, please let me know. I will correct that.

Compatibility

With anything that does not change general models.

Enjoy!

My TW: Attila mod, that gives Celtic, Alanic, Slavic and Germanic generals distinguishable look.

I kinda like them like this. More similar to the generals in Attila.
You are free to make your own changes to my file however.

hey men can you at least add horse tail on their helms just to make them different from normal foot soldiers?

Only generals and officers wear winged helmets in the game. I replaced the helmets even for the officers. They are usually normal spangenhelmets, so I only deleted the wings.

The bodyguards and elite units in the game don't wear any wings, but they wear lamellar helmets. Which are of eastern/nomadic origin, and archeological finds only prove that only western people that wore such helmets were Lombards in 7th, 8th century AD. So I replaced those with elite spangenhelmets. Which are actually even depicted on the unit cards... :BL3Facepalm:

I don't understand CA lately... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My bad, I was thinking of something else here. You're right, there's nothing to suggest they ever wore these helmets in battle, but I guess it's there in the game to distinguish the generals more from their bodyguards. Although, don't the bodyguards in this game wear the winged helmet too? Jeez, what a mess.

I would be very gratefull if you showed me some source on this. Since I did not find much proof for this.
